VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT. 22.1 On pick up of the Vehicle, the Customer agrees to pay a Vehicle Security Deposit. The Customer authorises Mighty to deduct from the Vehicle Security Deposit any amounts due by them to Mighty arising out of the Agreement. The Vehicle Security Deposit amount is determined by the Liability Reduction Option selected. Only the Customer’s credit card is suitable for the purpose of supplying a Vehicle Security Deposit.
22.2 If the customer elects to keep the Mighty Light vehicle liability and no further Liability Reduction Option selected, the vehicle security deposit is NZ$5,000 for the Double Up and NZ$3,500 for all other Campervans payable by credit card only. The amount will be debited to the Customer’s account immediately.
22.3 If the Mighty Confident or The Almighty option has been taken the Vehicle Security Deposit is NZ$250 payable by credit card only. An imprint of the Customer’s credit card will be taken.
22.4 The Vehicle Security Deposit is fully refundable including the credit card surcharge if the card used to provide the Vehicle Security Deposit is a Visa or MasterCard, provided the Vehicle is returned on time, to the correct location, undamaged, in a clean condition and with full fuel tanks (fuel being petrol, diesel, and LPG gas). Except where the Customer has purchased PGO and / or PPF, failure to return the Vehicle with full petrol, diesel and / or LPG tanks will result in refill charges, which will be advised upon return of the Vehicle.
22.5 Mighty reserves the right to retain a NZ$250 cleaning fee if the Vehicle is not returned in a clean condition. This includes smoking related cleaning, as smoking is not permitted in the Vehicle. The toilet and wastewater tank (if applicable) must be emptied prior to the return of the Vehicle, or an additional NZ$125 soiling fee will be retained. Except where the Customer has purchased Pre- purchase Gas Option and/or Pre-purchase Fuel Option, failure to return the vehicle with full petrol, diesel and/or LPG tanks will result in refill charges.
VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT. Upon vehicle collection, a vehicle security deposit is required. The vehicle security deposit is applicable regardless if the hirer has purchased private travel insurance. For security purposes, only a credit card can be used to provide a vehicle security deposit. The credit card holder must be present and able to sign for the vehicle security deposit upon vehicle collection. The credit card holder is jointly and severally liable for any damage to the rental vehicle. Any type of pre-paid travel card is not acceptable as a means to provide a vehicle security deposit. Visa and MasterCard debit cards are acceptable provided the card is being used as a credit card. Debited vehicle security deposits are subject to a 2% credit card administration fee in addition to the vehicle security deposit amount when the credit card used is either a Visa or MasterCard and 4.6%, when the credit card used is American Express. If the Liability Reduction Option is not selected, the vehicle security deposit is AU$7,500 payable by credit card. The AU$7,500 is debited to the hirer’s credit card when the vehicle is collected. For this reason it is important that the hirer have the funds available on the credit card and that the amount does not exceed the hirer’s daily withdrawal allowance available on the credit card. If the Liability Reduction Option is selected or the package booked is the maui Premium Package the vehicle security deposit is AU$250. The AU$250 is taken as an imprint to the hirer’s credit card when the vehicle is collected. An imprint simply records a figure against the hirers credit card of AU$250 that maui can then debit if required. The vehicle security deposit is fully refundable including the credit card surcharge if the card used to provide the vehicle security deposit is a Visa or MasterCard, provided the vehicle is returned on time, to the correct location, undamaged, in a clean condition and with full fuel tanks (fuel being petrol or diesel) and gas bottle. Except where the customer has purchased PGO (PGO is included in the maui Premium Package) and/or Pre Purchase Fuel (PPF), failure to return the vehicle with full petrol or diesel tanks and/or a full LPG bottle will result in refill charges, which will be advised upon return of the vehicle. 22.6 If the Customer has a complaint in relation to any monies deducted by Alpha from the Vehicle Security Deposit under clause 22.3, the Customer is invited to contact Alpha by calling 0000 000 000 or sending an email to customercare@thlonline. com. Alpha takes customer complaints seriously and is committed to dealing with all complaints in a fair, objective, unbiased and timely manner.
VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT. 1) The hirer agrees to pay the deposit and acknowledges West Highland Motorhome Rentals reserve the right to withhold full or part of said deposit subject to the condition of vehicle or as full or part payment of insurance excess conditions.

14.2) If the customer does not pick an Insurance Option, the customer won’t have Passenger insurance, windscreen cover, it will only be allowed 1 driver and the liability bond and deposit is 2000€.
14.3) If the customer opts for an Extended Insurance, the customer will have Passenger insurance, Windscreen cover, multiple drivers allowed, and the liability bond and deposit is 500€.
14.4) If the customer opts for a Premium Insurance, the customer will have Passenger insurance, Windscreen cover, multiple drivers allowed, and the liability bond 250€, and an imprint of the customer’s credit card will be taken for the required vehicle security deposit.
14.5) The vehicle deposit is fully refundable, provided the vehicle is returned on time, to the correct location, undamaged, in a clean condition and with the same level in the fuel tank.
14.6) The Rental Firm reserves the right to retain a 50€ cleaning fee if the vehicle is not returned in a clean condition. The wastewater tank should be emptied, cutlery and dishes cleaned, and the cooler turned-off with no food inside.
