Vice President for Nursing ARRMC. If a nurse or the Association 2 decides that the problem should be treated as a grievance, the grievant 3 and an Association representative will submit the grievance in writing to 4 the supervisor, whom the nurse understands to be the “immediate 5 supervisor” and the Vice President for Nursing ARRMC or designee. 7 The nurse has ten (10) days from the date that they had knowledge of, or 8 should have been aware of, a contract violation upon which the grievance 9 is based, to file the grievance. 11 The immediate supervisor and the Vice President for Nursing ARRMC, or 12 a designee, will meet with the grievant and Association representative 13 within ten (10) days to hear the grievance. All filed grievances will receive 14 a Step 1 hearing, with the Hospital reserving the right to question whether 15 the matter is a proper (for example, under Article 16.4) or timely 16 grievance. A written response will be rendered to the grievant and the 17 Association within ten (10) days. 18 19 Association grievances will be submitted within the times described above 20 to the supervisor whom the nurse understood to be the immediate 21 supervisor involved in the dispute with a copy to the Vice President for 22 Nursing ARRMC.
