Work with VCS that represent, support or provide services to people specifically protected by legislation and other under-represented and disadvantaged groups. Understand the specific needs of these groups by actively seeking the views of service users and clients. Take these views into account, including assessing impact, when designing and implementing policies, programmes and services. Acknowledge that organisations representing specific disadvantaged or under- represented group(s) can help promote social and community cohesion and should have fair access to state funding.

Localism presents the opportunity to build on South Gloucestershire’s Compact and identify and support ways to build the capacity of the Sector to take on new challenges and opportunities.

Voluntary and Community Sector. The development of West Berkshire’s Local Area Agreement has been overseen by the Management Board of the West Berkshire Partnership (the local Strategic Partnership for the district). The West Berkshire Partnership supported the voluntary and community sector to set up a new voluntary sector infrastructure development organisation for West Berkshire and Community Action West Berkshire (CAWB) was launched in April 2004. The Director of CAWB has one of the 3 voluntary and community sector seats on the Management Board of the West Berkshire Partnership. The Director of the Community Council for Berkshire is also on the Board. Both organisations are key to the success of the Local Area Agreement in terms of providing strategic leadership for the voluntary and community sector and co-ordinating voluntary sector involvement in the projects delivering on the targets.

  • Responsibility of Dual Directors, Officers and/or Employees If any person who is a director, officer or employee of the Adviser is or becomes a Trustee, officer and/or employee of the Fund and acts as such in any business of the Fund pursuant to this Agreement, then such director, officer and/or employee of the Adviser shall be deemed to be acting in such capacity solely for the Fund, and not as a director, officer or employee of the Adviser or under the control or direction of the Adviser, although paid by the Adviser.

  • EMPLOYER AND UNION TO ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES ‌ (a) At the time of hire new employees will be advised that a collective agreement is in effect and of the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-off.   • Residence Community Living Standards The Residence Community Living Standards (“RCLS”) forms a part of this Agreement. It details the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of Residents as well as the residence conduct process. Each Resident is responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the terms outlined within the RCLS. The Manager and the Institution may amend the terms of the RCLS from time to time and may post the amendments in the Residence. Failure to abide by the RCLS may result in eviction from Residence and termination of this Agreement as per the violations and sanctions outlined in the RCLS, and as stated in section 8.01(d).
