Voluntary Partnering. The Department intends to encourage the formation of a cohesive partnership with the Contractor and its principal subcontractors and suppliers. This partnership will be structured to draw on the strengths of each organization to identify and achieve reciprocal goals. The objectives are effective and efficient contract performance and completion of all work within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with the plans and specifications. This partnership will be bilateral in makeup, and participation will be totally voluntary. Any cost associated with bringing about this partnering will be agreed to by both parties and shared equally. Participation is not a requirement of the contract and, therefore, the costs associated with partnering are not to be included in the bid, and the provisions specified in Section 110.03(d)4. do not apply to these costs. To implement this partnering initiative prior to the Preconstruction Conference, the Notice to Proceed, and the start of work, as specified in Sections 108.02 and 108.03, the Contractor's management personnel and the District Engineer are to organize a Partnering Seminar/Team Building Workshop as follows:

  • Voluntary Participation The Grantee’s participation in the Plan is voluntary. The value of the Restricted Stock Units is an extraordinary item of compensation. Unless otherwise expressly provided in a separate agreement between the Grantee and the Company or a Subsidiary, the Restricted Stock Units are not part of normal or expected compensation for purposes of calculating any severance, resignation, redundancy, end-of-service payments, bonuses, long-service awards, pension or retirement benefits or similar payments.

  • Voluntary Layoffs Prior to implementing any involuntary reduction in force, the deans shall contact all regular faculty members, urging those faculty members to notify the deans within a specified time if they are willing to retire early or to accept leave without pay of a specific duration. The deans will also contact all faculty members who have adjunct or post-retirement contracts, urging those faculty members to notify the deans within a specified time if they are willing to terminate any portions of contracts which extend beyond the current quarter.

  • Partnering GSA intends to encourage the foundation of a cohesive partnership between the OASIS Contractors, GSA OASIS personnel, and Federal agency customers to identify and achieve reciprocal goals, with effective and efficient customer-focused service, in accordance with the terms of the OASIS contract. Failure to attend meetings, maintain a Contractor OASIS webpage, or otherwise not comply with this section may result in activation of Dormant Status and/or result in a Contractor being Off-Ramped (See Sections H.16. and H.17.).

  • Voluntary Layoff Appointing authorities will allow an employee in the same job classification and department where layoffs will occur to volunteer to be laid off provided that the employee is in a position requiring the same skills and abilities, as a position subject to layoff. Any volunteer for layoff shall have no formal layoff option. If the appointing authority accepts the employee’s voluntary request for layoff, the employee will submit a non-revocable letter stating they are accepting a voluntary layoff from the University. The employee will be placed on all applicable rehire lists.

  • Voluntary Part-time Benefits If the local parties agree, the Hospital will provide part-time employees with the option of voluntary participation in any and all of the group health and welfare benefit programs set out in Article 18.01. It is understood and agreed that the part-time employees would pay the Employer the full amount of the monthly premiums, in advance.   • Xxxxxx Xxx as Holder Xxxxxx Mae shall have the right to purchase and hold for its own account any Certificate issued pursuant to the terms of this Trust Agreement, notwithstanding the rights and duties conferred and imposed upon Xxxxxx Xxx by this Trust Agreement. In determining whether the Holders of the requisite amount of Certificates have given any request, demand, authorization, direction, notice, consent or waiver hereunder, any Certificate held by Xxxxxx Mae in its corporate capacity shall be disregarded and deemed not to be outstanding.

  • How Much May I Contribute to a Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account? The maximum contribution that can be made to all Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account that cover a particular beneficiary may not exceed $2,000. It is the joint responsibility of the contributor and the beneficiary to verify that excess contributions are not made on behalf of a particular beneficiary. Qualifying rollover contributions and transfers are not subject to these limitations. Note that special rules apply to contributions to Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Accounts for purposes of gift and estate taxes. In addition, if your adjusted gross income (or combined income if you file a joint tax return) as modified below exceeds certain limits, you are not eligible to make a contribution to a Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account. For this purpose your adjusted gross income is increased by amounts excluded under Section 911 (certain exclusions applicable to U.S. citizens or residents living abroad), Section 931 (certain exclusions applicable to U.S. citizens or residents living in Guam, American Samoa, or the Northern Mariana Islands), and Section 933 (certain exclusions applicable to U.S. citizens and residents living in Puerto Rico) of the Code. The amount you may contribute to a Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account for a particular beneficiary is reduced proportionately for adjusted gross income (as modified above) within the applicable dollar range. The applicable dollar range is $95,000 to $110,000 for an individual, a married individual filing a separate tax return or a head of household and for a married individual filing a joint tax return this range is increased to $190,000 to $220,000.   • Mandatory Participation Participation in the Special Pay Plan is mandatory for all 24 eligible teachers.
