Water Bottles. Cashiers shall be allowed to have an Employer approved water bottle at their work locations provided the bottle is stored out of public sight and the employee exercises common courtesy with customers when consuming water.

Water Bottles. Employees shall be allowed to have a Co-operative approved water bottle at their work locations provided the bottle is stored out of public sight and the employee exercises common courtesy with customers when consuming water. Water bottles shall not be allowed in food production areas.
Water Bottles. Employees may elect to bring a bottle of water to their working areas under the following conditions: 1) The bottle is a “President’s Choice” brand or other brand designated by the employer or a personal water bottle absent of competitor branding or any other material or content that may be objectionable as determined by the Company. 2) The size is 1 litre or smaller. 3) Cashiers will store the bottle under the counter. Bottles are not to be present on the sales floor when the store is open. Fresh Food Department employees may keep their water bottles in the back room in a designated location specified by management. 4) Employees must exercise common courtesy with customers when consuming water.

Any employee with more than one year’s service with the Employer may request and be granted a leave of absence or absences which shall not exceed five (5) days of unpaid leave in total per calendar year. The purpose of this leave shall be to enable the employee to attend to the needs of their ailing spouse (including common law spouse), parent (including parent in-law) or child (including stepchild). The Employer will be given as much notice as possible in such events. In unusual cases and where the circumstances of the request require further verification the Employer may require additional information regarding the purpose of the leave.

(d) The employee exercises common courtesy with customers when consuming water. 39.01 This Agreement shall be effective from July 8th, 2021 and shall remain in full force until July 7th, 2023 and shall continue in full force hereafter from year to year, except that either party may, not more than sixty (60) days and not less than thirty (30) days before the expiry date or renewal date of such Agreement, give notice in writing to the party of their intentions to revise or abrogate this Agreement.
