Work Related Taken at Department’s Request. In response to changing technologies or special needs within an operating department (such as upgrading technical skills), a Department Head or Designate may request an employee’s attend- ance at a specific course. 100% of the tuition fee, up to a maximum of $2,000 (two thousand dollars) in a calendar year, including all fees that are automatic upon registration and completion of the course including administration, materials, lab, registration and books, will be reimbursed to the employee upon submission to the Training and Development Department original receipts that verify proof of payment and an original document that verifies proof of successful course completion from the educational institution. 100% of the tuition fees for apprenticeship programs (no longer supported by the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities), will be reimbursed to the employee upon submission to the Training and Development Department original receipts that verify proof of payment and an original document that verifies proof of successful course completion.
