Works Information. On the 26th Kendal Power Station ash spreader caught fire on the head station at the spreader stream or 00ETK14. This fire has resulted to the loss of redundancy on the ash removal. This document outlines the electrical scope work to restore the ash spreader machine and the associated conveyor belts.

Works Information. The Koeberg Emergency Plan consists of various elements and systems, of which the Public Notification System (PNS) plays a major role. The PNS must be activated to provide guidance to the general public within a 16km radius of Koeberg in an event of a Nuclear Emergency at the station. The system consists of different types of sirens within this 16km radius of which all types have been subjected to vandalism and theft. A proposal to curb the vandalism and theft was successfully implemented on a limited number of farm type sirens with the premise that the changes to the remainder of the similar type sirens will be implemented. The work is classified as a Q4/L3 system. Eskom representative will be present at all times to give oversight and assistance. Work will be performed as per Eskom work instructions and procedures.
