Active Payroll definition

Active Payroll as used in this Agreement, means the list of employees who have qualified, at a local plant, to receive wages from the Company and who have not been removed from the list due to discharge, quit, layoff, leave of absence, absence due to injury or illness, retirement or severance award. Removal from the list due to injury or illness will not be less than two weeks from the last day worked.
Active Payroll refers to the time when the employee is being paid for working or is on paid leave time pursuant to this Agreement as opposed to the time when the employee is on unpaid status such as absent without pay, or unpaid leave or on layoff.
Active Payroll means those employees who are being paid for actually working or for paid time off allowed by this Agreement or who are on leave of absence while being paid Workers’ Compensation or disability benefits pursuant to New York State Law. An employee who is on layoff or who is on unpaid absence is not on the active payroll.

More Definitions of Active Payroll

Active Payroll means the status of an Employee who is not on layoff and has not otherwise terminated employment with the Company or Participating Subsidiary and, unless otherwise required by law, shall not include the time during which an Employee is on an approved leave of absence after the end of the full third full calendar month of such leave.
Active Payroll. An employee is on the active payroll in any pay period for which he draws pay while in the Bargaining Unit.
Active Payroll means all employees contained on the TDCJ’s current payroll, even those on leave without pay (LWOP).
Active Payroll means the status of an Employee who is not on (a) layoff or (b) leave of absence for more than 90 days.
Active Payroll to mean an employee who has seniority in the plant as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

  • Annual payroll means the total amount of wages subject to contributions during a twelve-month period ending with the last day of the second calendar quarter of any calendar year.

  • Active Participant means, with respect to any day or date, a Participant who is in Service on such day or date; provided, that a Participant shall cease to be an Active Participant (i) immediately upon a determination by the Committee that the Participant has ceased to be an Employee or Independent Contractor, or (ii) at the end of the Plan Year that the Committee determines the Participant no longer meets the eligibility requirements of the Plan.

  • Payroll means the total salary and wages to be paid in a Taxable Year to a New Employee and Retained Employee.

  • Eligible Employees means each employee of the Company or an Affiliate.

  • Eligible Earnings means the Grantee's base salary (prior to any deferrals under a cash or deferred compensation plan sponsored by the Corporation or an Affiliate) paid during the Plan Year. From time to time the Plan Administrator may, in its sole discretion, establish rules for determining the amounts of Eligible Earnings for employees who become Grantees other than on the first day of a Plan Year as well as any reduction of Eligible Earnings as a result of paid leave of absences.

  • Regular Part-Time Employee means an employee who is appointed to a regularly scheduled position but works less than full-time. A regular part-time employee is entitled to all benefits outlined in the agreement on a pro rata basis, except where otherwise specified.

  • Inactive Participant means each Participant (other than a Retired Participant, Deceased Participant or Disabled Participant) who is not in active service as an Outside Director and is not actively employed by a Participating Company.

  • Regular Employee is one who is hired to work on a full-time or part-time basis on regularly scheduled shifts of a continuing nature;

  • Eligible employer means an employer that:

  • Active Employee means a contributing member of the TRS who is employed by a public school and is not entitled to coverage under a plan provided under Insurance Code Chapter 1551 (Texas Em- ployees Group Benefits Act) or 1601 (State University Employees Uniform Insurance Benefits Act).

  • Employee Contribution means any contribution made to the Plan by or on behalf of a Participant that is included in the Participant's gross income in the year in which made and that is maintained under a separate account to which earnings and losses are allocated.

  • Designated Retirement Account means any retirement plan or account described or qualified under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or a subaccount thereof.

  • Annual Salary means the salary given under this Part.

  • Designated Employee means an employee who has been designated by the school to receive complaints of hazing, harassment and bullying pursuant to subdivision 16 V.S.A. 570a(a)(7). The designated employees for each school building are identified in Appendix A of this policy.

  • Tipped employee means any employee engaged in an occupation in which s/he customarily and regularly receives more than $30 per month in tips. Tips include amounts designated as a tip by credit card customers on their charge slips. Nothing in this rule prevents an employer from requiring employees to share or allocate such tips or gratuities on a pre-established basis among other employees who customarily and regularly receive tips. Employer-required sharing of tips with employees who do not customarily and regularly receive tips, such as management or food preparers, or deduction of credit card processing fees from tipped employees, shall nullify allowable tip credits towards the minimum wage.

  • Normal salary means the salary that would be paid to a participating employee if that person was not participating in a Plan and includes salary expressed as an annual rate, fortnightly rate, weekly rate, daily rate or hourly rate. It includes all allowances that are paid as an annual rate, fortnightly rate, weekly rate, daily rate or hourly rate but not overtime payments and shift work penalty rates unless they are paid as a component of an annualised rate.

  • Designated Employees means a person occupying any of the following position in the Company:

  • Incentive Pay means an annual amount equal to the aggregate annual bonus, in addition to Base Pay, made or to be made in regard to services rendered in any calendar year or performance period pursuant to any bonus plan of the Company.

  • Active Account means an individual investment account in the Plans with a balance greater than $0.00.

  • Active Employment means you must be actively at work for the Sponsor:

  • Active Employees means all employees employed on the Closing Date by Seller for its business who are employed exclusively in Seller’s business as currently conducted, including employees on temporary leave of absence, including family medical leave, military leave, temporary disability or sick leave, but excluding employees on long-term disability leave.

  • Non-Highly Compensated Employee means an Employee who is not a Highly Compensated Employee.

  • Accrued Base Salary means the amount of Executive's Base Salary which is accrued but not yet paid as of the Date of Termination.

  • Retired employee means an employee of the state who retired after April 29, 1971,

  • Employee Contributions are contributions made by a Participant on an after-tax basis, whether voluntary or mandatory, and designated, at the time of contribution, as an employee (or nondeductible) contribution. Elective deferrals and deferral contributions are not employee contributions. Participant nondeductible contributions, made pursuant to Section 4.01 of the Plan, are employee contributions.

  • Medical savings account means an account exempt from federal income taxation pursuant to Section 220 of the United States Internal Revenue Code (26 U.S.C. § 220).
