Auxiliary Use definition

Auxiliary Use means (1) the driving of a state-owned vehicle within the State of Delaware, including to and from the employee’s residence, for incidental personal benefit during Prescribed Working Hours or (2) the parking of a state-owned vehicle at locations within the State of Delaware other than at the assigned motor pool, agency site or school district office where such would not, absent this Policy, be permitted. Auxiliary Use includes the driving of a state-owned vehicle for reasonable distances, and/or the parking of a state-owned vehicle for reasonable time periods, for the convenience of the employee, consistent with the purposes set forth above. Auxiliary Use includes the carrying of passengers who are not state employees only to or from an employee’s residence, and only if such passengers are members of such Control Employee’s immediate family, as defined in Chapter 2.0000 of the state’s Merit Rules.
Auxiliary Use means any business, service, or other function that is neither an aviation use nor a nonaviation use and is located and carried out on an airport for the convenience of the air traveling public, aviation businesses on the airport, or the employees necessary to the maintenance and operation of an airport. Auxiliary use includes the following: air freight forwarding; ground transportation services not operated by the department, such as a taxicab service, an airport limousine or shuttle service, a rental car agency, or a vehicle parking business; in-flight catering; hotel accommodation; restaurant service; in-terminal concessions.
Auxiliary Use means a use that is ancillary or subordinate to a principal use on a parcel of land or within the boundaries of a strata plan.

Examples of Auxiliary Use in a sentence

  • A Control Employee is allowed to use a state-owned vehicle for Auxiliary Use provided that his or her work-related business activities or an emergency warrants the regular assignment of a state-owned vehicle to such Control Employee and said employee has received authorization from the Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

  • Auxiliary Use includes the driving of a state-owned vehicle for reasonable distances, and/or the parking of a state-owned vehicle for reasonable time periods, for the convenience of the employee, consistent with the purposes set forth above.

  • Auxiliary meaning an employee who is employed for work which is not of a continuous nature. "Employee" does not include managerial or confidential positions mutually excluded by the parties to this Agreement or by decision of the Labour Relations Board.

  • Auxiliary Water Supply means any water supply on or available to the premises other than the water purveyor's approved public water supply such as, but not limited to, a private well, pond or river.

  • Motorized wheelchair means any self-propelled vehicle designed for, and used by, a handicapped person and that is incapable of a speed in excess of eight miles per hour.

  • High voltage bus means the electrical circuit, including the coupling system for charging the REESS that operates on a high voltage.

  • Interconnector means equipment used to link the electricity system of the State to electricity systems outside of the State;

  • Interconnection Facilities means the Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities and the Customer Interconnection Facilities.

  • Local Access Transport Area or "LATA" is as defined in the Act.

  • Electrical Interconnection Facilities means the equipment and facilities required to safely and reliably interconnect a Facility to the transmission system of the Transmitting Utility, including the collection system between each Bloom System, transformers and all switching, metering, communications, control and safety equipment, including the facilities described in any applicable Interconnection Agreement.

  • Launch Vehicle means an object, or any part thereof, intended for launch, launched from Earth, or returning to Earth which carries Payloads or persons, or both.

  • Nontransient noncommunity water system means a public water system that is not a community water system and that regularly serves at least the same 25 persons over 6 months per year.

  • Terrestrial means to live on or grow from land.

  • 911 system means the set of network, database and customer premise equipment (CPE) components required to provide 911 service.

  • Utility system means a water system, solid waste

  • public service infrastructure means publicly controlled infrastructure of the following kinds:

  • Substation means the apparatus that connects the electrical collection system of the WECS(s) and increases the voltage for connection with the utility's transmission lines.

  • Cabinet x-ray system means an x-ray system with the x-ray tube installed in an enclosure independent of existing architectural structures except the floor on which it may be placed. The cabinet x-ray system is intended to contain at least that portion of a material being irradiated, provide radiation attenuation, and exclude personnel from its interior during generation of radiation. Included are all x-ray systems designed primarily for the inspection of carry-on baggage at airline, railroad, and bus terminals, and in similar facilities. An x-ray tube used within a shielded part of a building, or x-ray equipment that may temporarily or occasionally incorporate portable shielding, is not considered a cabinet x-ray system.

  • Stations means the Owned Stations and the Contract Stations.

  • Satellite means any satellite owned by the Issuer or any of its Restricted Subsidiaries and any satellite purchased by the Issuer or any of its Restricted Subsidiaries pursuant to the terms of a Satellite Purchase Agreement, whether such satellite is in the process of manufacture, has been delivered for launch or is in orbit (whether or not in operational service).

  • Displacement system means a device by which the seat or one of its parts can be displaced and/or rotated, without a fixed intermediate position, to permit easy access of occupants to the space behind the seat concerned;

  • business vertical means a distinguishable component of an enterprise that is engaged in the supply of individual goods or services or a group of related goods or services which is subject to risks and returns that are different from those of the other business verticals.

  • Subsystem means any subset of the System identified as such in the Contract that may be supplied, installed, tested, and commissioned individually before Commissioning of the entire System.

  • high voltage means the classification of an electric component or circuit, if its working voltage is > 60 V and ≤ 1500 V DC or > 30 V and ≤ 1000 V AC root mean square (rms).

  • Generation Interconnection Facilities Study means a Facilities Study related to a Generation Interconnection Request.

  • Irrigation System means such major, medium and minor irrigation system for harnessing water for irrigation and other allied uses from Government source and includes reservoirs, open head channels, diversion systems, lift irrigation schemes, anicuts, tanks, wells and the like.
