Covering Physician means an appropriately credentialed Medical Staff Member

Covering Physician means a doctor of medicine or a doctor of osteopathy licensed to practice medicine in Alabama who agrees in writing to be readily available to fulfill the duties of a Collaborating Physician pursuant to a Collaborative Drug Therapy Management Agreement during the absence of the Collaborating Physician. The covering physician shall be either a member of the same medical practice, practice group, or multidisciplinary medical team, or of the same or similar practice specialty as the Collaborating Physician and shall abide by the rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Medical Examiners and Board of Pharmacy.

Covering Physician means a Provider who provides health care items and services to another Provider’s patients when the other Provider is not available.

Covering Physician means a Physician or other licensed health care provider, as applicable, who has been employed by or who has entered into an agreement with APS PR or an APS PR Provider to provide Mental and Behavioral Health Services to Designated Beneficiaries when APS PR Provider is not available. This includes Covered Services that are (1) furnished by a provider qualified to furnish Emergency services and (2) needed to evaluate or stabilize an Emergency medical condition.
