Data Protection Laws and Guidance definition

Data Protection Laws and Guidance means the GDPR, the Data Protection Xxx 0000, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, as well as any legally enforceable NHS requirements, Codes of Practice or Guidance issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office, in each case in force from time to time in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and/or Wales; and, pending a favourable decision from the competent authorities of the EU on the adequacy of the UK data protection regime will include the requirements set out or referenced in Part Three, Title VII, Article 71
Data Protection Laws and Guidance means the GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, as well as any legally enforceable NHS requirements, Codes of Practice or Guidance issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office, in each case in force from time to time in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and / or Wales; Data Subject shall have the meaning set out in the Data Protection Laws and Guidance; EEA means the European Economic Area comprising the countries of the European Union as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway; Effective Date means the date on which the final signature is placed on this Agreement; means either the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 or the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, as applicable to the place of constitution of the Trial Site; EN ISO 14155:2020 means EN ISO 14155:2020, the harmonised International and European standard entitled “Clinical investigation of medical devices for human subjectsGood clinical practice”;
Data Protection Laws and Guidance means the GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, as well as any legally enforceable NHS requirements, Codes of Practice or Guidance issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office, in each case in force from time to time in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and / or Wales; Data Subject shall have the meaning set out in the Data Protection Laws and Guidance; EEA means the European Economic Area comprising the countries of the European Union as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway; Effective Date means the date on which the final signature is placed on this Agreement; means either the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 or the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, as applicable to the place of constitution of the Trial Site; means any reasonable costs for Participants (including, as applicable, parents, carers or others who may reasonably be expected to accompany them) and the Trial Site’s Agents in relation to travel, accommodation, food and drink, and any other ethically-approved pass-through Participant costs, such as inconvenience payments and payments for Participant time, incurred as a direct result of participation in this Clinical Trial; FOIA means either the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, as applicable to the place of constitution of the Trial Site; GDPR means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data, as it forms part of the law of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland by virtue of section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 and as amended by the Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communications (Amendments etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019;

  • This Clause 6 is in addition to and does not replace, relieve or remove a Party’s obligations or rights under the Data Protection Laws and Guidance.

  • Data Protection Laws and Regulations means all laws and regulations, including laws and regulations of the European Union, the European Economic Area and their member states, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, applicable to the Processing of Personal Data under the Agreement.

  • EU Data Protection Laws means EU Directive 95/46/EC, as transposed into domestic legislation of each Member State and as amended, replaced or superseded from time to time, including by the GDPR and laws implementing or supplementing the GDPR;

  • Data Protection Laws means all laws and regulations that govern the access, use, disclosure, or protection of Personal Data to which a party is subject with respect to the Service or the Software.

  • Applicable Data Protection Laws means all national, international and local laws, regulations and rules by any government, agency or authority relating to data protection and privacy which are applicable to CPA Global or the Customer, including but not limited to The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), (GDPR);

  • Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).

  • European Data Protection Laws means data protection laws applicable in Europe, including: (i) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector; and (iii) applicable national implementations of (i) and (ii); or (iii) GDPR as it forms parts of the United Kingdom domestic law by virtue of Section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 ("UK GDPR"); and (iv) Swiss Federal Data Protection Act on 19 June 1992 and its Ordinance ("Swiss DPA"); in each case, as may be amended, superseded or replaced.

  • Applicable Data Protection Law means all data privacy or data protection laws or regulations globally that apply to the Processing of Personal Information under this Data Processing Agreement, which may include Applicable European Data Protection Law.

  • Data Protection Act means Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.

  • Data Protection Acts means Data Protection Act 1988, as amended by the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003, and as may be modified, amended, supplemented, consolidated or re- enacted from time to time;

  • Data Protection Legislation means the Data Protection Act 1998 and all applicable laws and regulations relating to processing of personal data and privacy, including where applicable the guidance and codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner or relevant Government department in relation to such legislation;

  • Data Protection Regulation means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 20161 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);

  • Data Protection means the implementation of appropriate administrative, technical or physical means to guard against unauthorized intentional or accidental disclosure, modification, or destruction of data.
