In respect of each Charging Period, the Train Operator shall pay or procure payment of the Variable Charge, the Traction Electricity Charge, the Electrification Asset Usage Charge, the Incremental Costs, the Incident Cap Access Charge Supplement and the Qualifying Modification Benefit Charge.
Network Rail shall issue to the Train Operator an invoice as soon as practicable, or as otherwise agreed, following the expiry of each Charging Period in respect of the Variable Charge, the Traction Electricity Charge, the Electrification Asset Usage Charge, the Incident Cap Access Charge Supplement and any Incremental Costs or Qualifying Modification Benefit Charge which is or are payable in respect of that Charging Period.
These charges may include:• Variable Usage Charge • Access Charge Supplements • Additional Charges e.g.(for services requested for outside normal operating hours) • Electrification Asset Usage Charge (TBD) • Traction Electricity Charge (TBD).
In the event that another train operator requires power for traction current, the CVL IM will procure traction electricity from a third party electricity provider and supply this to the train operators requiring traction electricity, for which they will pay the CVL IM the Traction Electricity Charge and Electrification Asset Usage Charge in accordance with the relevant track access contracts and these CVL Traction Electricity Rules.
