Field of Interest definition

Field of Interest means the research, development, manufacture and/or sale of the products resulting from the Company’s technology. The limitations on competition contained in this Section 8 shall continue during the time that Xxxxxxxx performs any Services for the Company, and for a period of three (3) months following the termination of any such Services that Xxxxxxxx performs for the Company. If any part of this section should be determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unreasonable in duration, geographic area, or scope, then this Section 8 is intended to and shall extend only for such period of time, in such area and with respect to such activity as is determined to be reasonable. Except as expressly provided herein, nothing in this Agreement shall preclude Xxxxxxxx from consulting for or being employed by any other person or entity.
Field of Interest. The term Company’s “Field of Interest” shall mean the research, development and commercialization of products and strategies relating to: (i) therapies for genetic disorders or diseases that include cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, other diseases caused in whole or part by nonsense (or stop) codons, and other genetic diseases as to which the Company engages in the research, development or commercialization of drugs; anti-angiogenic therapies that target VEGF protein production for cancer; and antiviral therapies for the Hepatitis C virus (HCV); and (ii) other therapeutic targets, mechanisms of action and/or therapies in which the Company has a research, development or commercialization program.

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Consultant may purchase as a passive investment up to one percent (1%) of any class or series of outstanding voting securities of any Person that has committed significant resources to the Field of Interest if such class or series is listed on a national or regional securities exchange or publicly traded in the “over-the-counter” market.
