Holiday Surcharge definition

Holiday Surcharge. With County Project Manager or designee’s approval, County shall pay a 10% surcharge to the normal unit cost if any portion of the Contractors laboratory analyses is conducted on a major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Memorial Day, 4th July, Labor Day). Results of analyses from these special requests that are reported after the due date will not be eligible for the surcharge and will be subject to penalties (10% per week – this is the standard penalty rate for normal turn-around time lab reports).
