Examples of Honor Roll in a sentence
The purpose of the Honor Roll is to recognize those students who demonstrate academic excellence.
Quarter Honor Roll Recognitions will not be awarded to students who earn a quarter grade of D or F in any of their courses.
A quarterly Honor Roll is based on numerical grades that are calculated in at least four major subjects resulting in the following grade point averages: First Honors: 90+ Second Honors: 88+ Third Honors: 85+ These averages are calculated by multiplying each grade by the number of periods the course meets per cycle and dividing that total by the total number of periods.
Note: Enrichment course grades are not averaged to determine the GPA, but the minimal acceptable grade for each Honor Roll status must still be met.
They include the President’s Honor Roll, the Dean’s Honor Roll, the Honors Scholar program, and Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges.
Honor Roll Students may earn academic distinction by exhibiting above-average performance.
A student must earn at least a “G” in all enrichment courses to be considered for the “A” Honor Roll; at least a “S” to be considered for the “B” Honor Roll; and an “E” for the Principal’s Honor Roll.
A scholar who receives all A's will be designated on the Honor Roll with an asterisk also known as High Honor Roll.
To be on the Honor Roll a scholar must receive all A’s and B’s (no grade lower than B +).
Those with a 3.6 grade point average and higher with no grade lower than a “C” will be on the Honor Roll.
