Licensed Unit definition

Licensed Unit means the unit of measure by which your use of Software and/or Service is licensed, as described in your Entitlement.
Licensed Unit means an installation of the Font Software that allows up to five (5) concurrent users to use it at a single geographic location. Your invoice may specify a different number of allowed concurrent users, in which case the number given on the invoice applies instead. A single geographic location is in particular the site of Your place of business. The geographic restriction does not apply to portable computers if they are owned by You.
Licensed Unit means up to twenty (20) Workstations connected to no more than two (2) printers with non-volatile memories.

  • Character Type grants You a non-exclusive license, unlimited in time and place, to use the Font Soflware in a Licensed Unit for Your own personal or business purposes according to the following terms of this Agreement.

  • If the number of users who use the Font Soflware exceeds the number as set in the defini- tion of Licensed Unit above, You must then request from Character Type or its authorized distributors an appropriate license covering all actual users.

  • If the average number of Page Views under which the Font Soflware is Used exceeds the number as set in the definition of Licensed Unit above, then You must request from Character Type or its authorized dis- tributors an appropriate license covering all Page Views.


More Definitions of Licensed Unit

Licensed Unit means a Basic Licensed Unit or an Expanded Licensed Unit as is appropriate to the context in which the term is used. If you have acquired an entire Font Software Library (that is, a single license for Font Software for 500 or more different typeface designs) then “Licensed Unit” shall mean up to twenty (20) Workstations connected to no more than two (2) printers with non-volatile memories.
Licensed Unit means a plant or unit implementing the Propanol Fermentation Technology licensed to a Licensee for the production of Propanol.
Licensed Unit means a PC, Tablet, Printer or other device, owned by the individual or company engaging in the Agreement, that can reasonably make use of the Product.
Licensed Unit means installations of the Font Software that allow the design of Your Websites which have – based on any six consecutive calendar months – not more than the overall monthly average of Pageviews stated on Your invoice for the purchase of the Font Software. If no number of Pageviews is given on Your invoice, the licensed number of Pageviews is 50,000 per month. If Your Websites averages (based on a period of six consecutive calendar months) at any given time in the future more than the licensed number of Pageviews per month, You must purchase an extended license from Monotype or its authorized distributors.
Licensed Unit means a unit of measure by which Ordering Activity’s licensed use of Software is limited, as specified in the Entitlement. Examples of Licensed Units include, but are not limited to, seats, users, sessions, calls, connections, subscribers, clusters, nodes, devices, links, ports, events or transactions. Licensed Units may also be based on throughput (such as gigabytes per second), performance, configuration, bandwidth, interfaces, processing, or geographic scope. Some Licensed Units are defined in this Section 1 and those definitions shall apply to all Entitlements except as otherwise expressly provided in such Entitlements. Such defined Licensed Units include: Authorized Users, Concurrent Users, Device, End-point, Managed Device, Subscriber, and User.
Licensed Unit means each of the applicable license metrics for the Product set forth in the relevant Purchase Order;
