Majeure Event definition

Majeure Event means an event or circumstance beyond the Partiesreasonable control that prevents either Party from complying from any of its obligations under the Contract; FOIA means the Freedom of Information Act 2000;
Majeure Event has the meaning specified in clause 15.1;
Majeure Event means any event due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Service Provider or, as applicable, any Administrative Support Provider, such as unavailability of communications systems or pricing information, sabotage, fire, flood, explosion, acts of God, civil commotion, strikes or industrial action of any kind, riots, insurrection, war or acts of government, or suspension or disruption of any relevant stock exchange or securities clearance system or market. The Service Provider will use reasonable efforts to minimize the adverse effects to the Client of any Force Majeure Event.

  • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Agreement, refusal of or inability to obtain any such permits and approvals by the Contractor or any of its Sub- contractors or their sub-contractors shall not constitute a Force Majeure Event, and shall not in any manner excuse the Contractor from the performance and discharge it of its obligations and liabilities under this Agreement, and the Contractor’s liabilities hereunder shall remain unaffected by such failure, refusal or inability.

  • If the period of nonperformance exceeds thirty (30) days from the receipt of notice of the Force Majeure Event, the party whose ability to perform has not been so affected may, by giving written notice, terminate this Contract.

  • The Party unable to perform shall advise the other Party of its efforts to remedy its inability to perform and to mitigate the consequences of the Force Majeure Event, and shall advise the other Party of when it believes it will be able to resume performance of its obligations under this Agreement.

  • In no event shall the number of days by which a Milestone Completion Target is extended exceed the number of days remaining, as of the date the Force Majeure Event or TxDOT-Caused Delay began, until the Milestone Completion Target.

  • In the event TxDOT issues a Change Order to DB Contractor to extend the Substantial Completion Deadline due to a Force Majeure Event or a TxDOT- Caused Delay and such Force Majeure Event or TxDOT-Caused Delay causes delay to the critical path for Milestone Completion of one or more Milestones, the Milestone Completion Target for the affected Milestone may be extended by one day for each day of delay to the critical path for Milestone Completion of the applicable Milestone.

Majeure Event means an event beyond the reasonable control of the Vendor including act of God, fire, flood or other physical disaster, disruption to transport infrastructure, supply or production facilities, but does not include industrial action.
