Permissible Investments definition

Permissible Investments means any of the Investment Securities defined in the General Resolution, if and to the extent (i) such Investment Securities constitute legal investments for the funds held under the General Resolution, and (ii) such Investment Securities conform to the policies set forth in any investment guidelines adopted by the Authority and in effect at the time of the making of such investment.
Permissible Investments means investments in any of the following: (i) Marketable securities issued by the U.S. Government and supported by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Treasury, either by statute or an opinion of the Attorney General of the United States; (ii) Marketable debt securities, rated Aaa by Xxxxx’x and/or AAA by S&P, issued by U. S. Government-sponsored enterprises, U. S. Federal agencies, U. S. Federal financing banks, and international institutions whose capital stock has been subscribed for by the United States; (iii) Certificates of deposit, time deposits, and bankers acceptances of any bank or trust company incorporated under the laws of the United States or any state, provided that, at the date of acquisition, such investment, and/or the commercial paper or other short term debt obligation of such bank or trust company has a short-term credit rating or ratings from Xxxxx’x and/or S&P, each at least P-1 or A-1; (iv) Commercial paper of any corporation incorporated under the laws of the United States or any state thereof which on the date of acquisition is rated by Xxxxx’x and/or S&P, provided each such credit rating is least P-1 and/or A-1; (v) Money market mutual funds that are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, and operated in accordance with Rule 2a-7 and that at the time of such investment are rated Aaa by Xxxxx’x and/or AAAm by S&P, including such funds for which the GUC Trust Administrator or an Affiliate provides investment advice or other services; (vi) Tax-exempt variable rate commercial paper, tax-exempt adjustable rate option tender bonds, and other tax-exempt bonds or notes issued by municipalities in the United States, having a short-term rating of “MIG-1” or “VMIG-1” or a long term rating of “AA” (Xxxxx’x), or a short-term rating of “A-1” or a long term rating of “AA” (S&P); and (vii) Repurchase obligations with a term of not more than thirty days, 102 percent collateralized, for underlying securities of the types described in clauses (i) and (ii) above, entered into with any bank or trust company or its respective affiliate meeting the requirements specified in clause (iii) above.
Permissible Investments means (a) short-term direct obligations of, or obligations guaranteed by, the United States of America, (b) short-term obligations of any agency or corporation which is or may hereafter be created by or pursuant to an act of the Congress of the United States as an agency or instrumentality thereof, (c) demand deposits or certificates of deposit at any bank or trust company, which has, at the time of the deposit, a capital stock and surplus aggregating at least $1,000,000,000, or (d) such other investments as the Bankruptcy Court may approve from time to time.

More Definitions of Permissible Investments

Permissible Investments means (i) investments in (a) short-term direct obligations of, or obligations guaranteed by, the United States of America, (b) short-term obligations of any agency or corporation which is or may hereafter be created by or pursuant to an act of the Congress of the United States as an agency or instrumentality thereof, (c) an open- ended management investment company, registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 that is regulated as a “money market fund” pursuant to Rule 2a-7 under the Investment Company Act of 1940, provided that the fund: (1) invests exclusively in United States Treasury bills and United States Treasury Notes owned directly or through repurchase agreements; (2) has received the highest money market fund rating from a nationally recognized statistical rating organization, such as Standard & Poor’s or Moody’s; (3) has agreed to redeem funds shares in cash, with payment being made no later than the business day following a redemption request by a shareholder, except in the event of an unscheduled closing of the Federal Reserve Banks or the New York Stock Exchange; and (4) has adopted a policy that it will notify its shareholders 60 days prior to any change in its policy (A) to invest exclusively in Treasury Securities as described in (1) above or (B) to redeem fund shares in cash no later than the business day following a redemption request by the shareholder, with limited exceptions for unscheduled closings of Federal Reserve Banks or the New York Stock Exchange; or (ii) deposits in demand deposits at any bank or trust company, provided, however, that the scope of any of the foregoing shall be limited to include only those investments that a liquidating trust, within the meaning of Treasury Regulation section 301.7701-4(d), may be permitted to hold, pursuant to the Treasury Regulations, or any modification in the guidelines of the IRS, whether set forth in IRS rulings, other IRS pronouncements, or otherwise
