Private Fund definition

Private Fund means an issuer that would be an investment company as defined in section 3 of the Investment Company Act of 1940 but for Section 3(c)(1) or 3(c)(7) of that Act.

Examples of Private Fund in a sentence

  • The Custodian shall also compute and determine at such time or times as the Portfolio or Private Fund may designate the portion of each item which has significance for a Shareholder of a Portfolio or Private Fund in computing and determining its federal income tax liability including, but not limited to, each item of income, expense and realized and unrealized gain or loss of the Portfolio or Private Fund which is attributable for Federal income tax purposes to each such Shareholder.
