Quality management program definition

Quality management program means ongoing activities designed and implemented by a health care institution to improve the delivery of medical services, nursing services, health-related services, and ancillary services provided by the health care institution.
Quality management program means a program which provides review by physicians and other health professionals of the appropriateness and adequacy of the delivery of health services.
Quality management program or "QM" means the continuous study of and improvement of an EMS agency or system including the collection of data, the identification of deficiencies through continuous evaluation, the education of personnel and the establishment of goals, policies and programs that improve patient outcomes in EMS systems.
