Road Work definition

Road Work means any of the works specified in subparagraph (a) of paragraph 6 of this Schedule and includes construction of a new road;
Road Work is defined as temporarily reconstructing or re-aligning road sections, turns and intersections on the Road Allowances to permit the passage of overweight or over-size cargoes;
Road Work means a road rehabilitation, reconstruction or repair scheme to be carried out by MRRD or MPW under Parts A(1) and (2) and Parts B(1) and (2) of the Project, which meets the eligibility criteria set out in the Project Implementation Manual.

  • A W20-1 (Road Work Ahead) sign shall be mounted on a portable sign stand with flags.

  • Contractor’s warning signage and markings shall conform to the requirements of the Caltrans Traffic Manual, and in any event, a C23 (Road Work Ahead) or C24 (Shoulder Work Ahead) sign shall be mounted on a telescoping flag tree with flags prior to the taper.

  • A C23 (Road Work Ahead) or C24 (Shoulder Work Ahead) sign shall be mounted on a portable sign stand with flags.

  • In Emergency Service (Rule 6), and Road Work (Rule 8), straight time rates will again become effective at the starting time of the employee's regular shift.

More Definitions of Road Work

Road Work means the preparation, construction, finishing and construction maintenance of roads, streets, Highways and parking lots and includes all Work incidental thereto other than Work on structures.
Road Work is defined in Section 2.l(a);
Road Work means a road work required to be carried out under this Deed, being Items 2 and 3 of Table 2 to Schedule 3. Security means a Bank Guarantee or a Bond or other form of security to the satisfaction of the Council. Subdivision has the meaning given to "subdivision of land" in section 4B of the Act and Subdivide has a similar meaning. Subdivision Certificate has the same meaning as in the Act. Taxes means taxes, levies, imposts, deductions, charges and duties (including stamp and transaction duties) excluding GST together with any related interest, penalties, fines and expenses in connection with them, except if imposed on, or calculated having regard to, net income of a person.
Road Work means any activity carried out for or in connection with survey, construction, expansion, repair or maintenance of a highway, or traffic on a highway;
Road Work means any physical alteration of a road including ordinary maintenance, minor relocation, rehabilitation, widening and new construction as defined in this policy.
Road Work means the Ocean Drive Signal Ready Intersection Work, the Sewerage Services Relocation Work, Water Supply Services Relocation Work and the relocation of electricity and telecommunications services within the area shown as ‘Intersection Limit of Construction’ on Plan No. 3.

Standby Time means any period of time that is not considered Working Time and which together with the Working Time does not exceed 10 hours in any one Working Day and during which time a unit of equipment cannot practically be used on other work but must remain on the site in order to continue with its assigned task and during which time the unit is in fully operable condition.
