Service Leave. A leave may be granted, after three (3) years with the system, up to one
Service Leave is defined as any period of time between the last day of instruction in the Fall semester to the first day of instruction in the Spring semester (winter break) and the last day of instruction in the Spring semester to the first day of instruction in the Fall semester (summer vacation). I understand that at my request in advance, my child can be granted a Service Leave without loss of enrollment in the center as long as all other conditions for enrollment are met as specified in this agreement.

I understand that at my request in advance, my child can be granted a Service Leave without loss of enrollment in the center as long as all other conditions for enrollment are met as specified in this agreement. A service leave of no more than 12 weeks can be granted. The time of service leave must be specified in advance. The center reserves the right to enroll another child on a temporary basis during the time of the leave.

Examples of Service Leave in a sentence

  • Long Service Leave shall be in accordance with and provided by Co-INVEST (or its successor).

  • An employee is eligible for long service leave in accordance with the Long Service Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Act 1976.

  • The applicable rate of pay for Long Service Leave will be the corresponding rate of pay in Appendix 1(A).

  • Long Service Leave entitlements will be in accordance with the Victorian Long Service Leave Act 1996 and will be revised in accordance with any amendments to that Act.

  • An employee is entitled to long service leave under either the Long Service Leave Act 1955 (NSW) or the Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Act 1986 (NSW).

  • If required by the Long Service Leave Legislation, the Consultant must pay any levy, charge, contribution or associated amount in respect of the Services.

  • Long Service Leave will be utilised as detailed in By-law 8 of the PSEM Act.

  • If required by the Long Service Leave Legislation, the Contractor must pay any levy, charge, contribution or associated amount in respect of the Contractor's Activities.

  • Teachers with Five or More Years of Service A Teacher with five or more years of service with their current employer may elect to receive additional superannuation contributions under clause 12.4 instead of receiving benefits provided under clause 17.8 – Leave Loading and Long Service Leave in excess of the legislation as provided under clause 20.

Related to Service Leave

  • 911 Service means a universal telephone number which gives the public direct access to the Public Safety Answering Point (“PSAP”). Basic 911 service collects 911 calls from one or more local exchange switches that serve a geographic area. The calls are then sent to the correct authority designated to receive such calls.

  • FMLA Leave means a leave of absence, which the Company is required to extend to an Employee under the provisions of the FMLA.

  • maternity leave means a period during which a woman is absent from work because she is pregnant or has given birth to a child, and at the end of which she has a right to return to work either under the terms of her contract of employment or under Part 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Service in the uniformed services means the performance of duty on a voluntary or involuntary basis in a uniformed service under competent authority and includes active duty, active duty for training, initial active duty for training, inactive duty training, full-time national guard duty including state-ordered active duty, and a period for which a person is absent from a position of employment for the purpose of an examination to determine the fitness of the person to perform any such duty.

  • paternity leave means a period of absence from work on leave by virtue of section 80A or 80B of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Pregnancy Leave means leave taken for purposes related to giving birth and/or recovering therefrom.

  • Uniformed personnel means: (a) Law enforcement officers as

  • Medical leave means leave of up to a total of 12 workweeks in a 12-month period because of an employee’s own serious health condition that makes the employee unable to work at all or unable to perform any one or more of the essential functions of the position of that employee. The term “essential functions” is defined in Government Code section 12926. “Medical leave” does not include leave taken for an employee’s pregnancy disability, as defined in (n) below, except as specified below in section 11093(c)(1).

  • Human service zone means a county or consolidated group of counties administering human services within a designated area in accordance with an agreement or plan approved by the department.

  • Uniformed services means the armed forces, the army national guard, and the air national guard of any state, territory, commonwealth, possession, or district when engaged in active duty for training, inactive duty for training, full-time national guard duty, or state active duty, the commissioned corps of the public health service, the coast guard and any other category of persons designated by the President of the United States in time of war or national emergency.

  • Personal service means professional or technical expertise

  • Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.

  • Personal Services means “the performance of any work or labor and shall also include acting as an independent contractor or providing any consulting advice or assistance, or otherwise acting as an agent pursuant to a contractual relationship.”

  • Planned Service Interruption means a Service Interruption that has been scheduled to occur in accordance with schedule 5;

  • civil service means the civil service of the State;

  • Service Line means any electric supply line through which electricity is, or is intended to be, supplied:

  • Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.

  • Unplanned Service Interruption means any Service Interruption where events or circumstances prevent the timely communication of prior warning or notice to the Trader or any affected Customer;

  • Professional sports services contract means an agreement under which an individual is employed as a professional athlete or agrees to render services as a player on a professional sports team or with a professional sports organization.

  • Service Interruption means the cessation of electricity supply to an ICP for a period of 1 minute or longer, other than by reason of De-energisation of that ICP:

  • Personal care services means both physical assis- tance and/or prompting and supervising the performance of direct personal care tasks as determined by the resident's needs and does not include assistance with tasks performed by a licensed health professional.

  • Personal services contract means a contract that, by its express terms or as administered, makes the contractor per- sonnel appear to be, in effect, Government employees (see 37.104).

  • Service employee, means any person engaged in the performance of this contract other than any person employed in a bona fide executive, administrative, or professional capacity, as these terms are defined in Part 541 of Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations, as revised. It includes all such persons regardless of any contractual relationship that may be alleged to exist between a Contractor or subcontractor and such persons.

  • Local Service Provider (LSP means the LEC that provides retail local Exchange Service to an End User. The LSP may or may not provide any physical network components to support the provision of that End User’s service.

  • Annual leave and Clause 6.3 “Personal (Sick) Leave” of this Agreement.

  • Service dog means a dog that has been individually trained by an organization or person specializing in service dog training to perform a task to assist a person with a disability with a need related to their disability.
