SICK LEAVE CERTIFICATE means a certificate verifying a claim for sick leave in the form attached hereto and forming part of By-law as Schedule " A, or in the case of Police Officers and Civilian Employees covered by the Greater Police Collective Agreements, in the form attached as Schedule "SICK LEAVE CREDIT" means a per diem allowance or portion thereof as provided by this By-law for sick leave absence, and 'TREASURER shall mean the Director of Treasurer of the City of Greater Sudbury. A plan of sick leave credit gratuities is hereby continued for all employees as defined above and, subject to the control of Council, the conduct and of the plan shall be vested in Director of Human Resources. The Directorof Human Resources shall perform all things necessary or incidental to carry on the sick leave credit gratuities plan. Each General Manager, in conjunctionwith the Director of Human Resources, shall have the power to allow, amend or disallow any sick leave credit of sick leave absence for an Employee in accordance the terms of this By-law, provided, however, that the disallowance by the Directorof HumanResourcesof any sick leave credit or sick absence shall be subject lo the appeal set out in Section of this By-law. The Treasurer shall provide and keep a Register in which all leave credits and sick leave absences for all Employees shall be recorded the register will show the net sick leave credit of an Employeewhich remains after all sick leave absences have been deducted from accumulated sick leave credits. Sick leave absences for those Employees who normally are considered to work a five (5) day week shall be charged against the credits provided therefor, on the basis of a day off being equal to one (1) day's credit.
