Accumulated Sick Leave Credits. Such credits under this Article are intended as an insurance benefit provided by the City to protect employees during bona fide physical disability causing the employee to be unable to perform his/her regular duties.
Accumulated Sick Leave Credits. 19.01 All full-time teachers shall be included in the plan.
19.02 All part-time teachers shall be included in the plan on a pro-rata basis. Accumulations (including maximum on accumulation) and loss of sick leave credits shall be in proportion to the portion of a full-time position which the teacher works.
(a) A teacher transferring from another Board will be credited with the number of days of accumulated sick leave credits with which the employee had been credited by the previous board providing no gratuity has been paid in respect of these credits and subject to the limitation set out in the Education Act.
(b) A teacher who is re-employed by this board will be credited with the number of days of accumulated sick leave with which the teacher had been credited by this board, or a predecessor board, providing that no gratuity had been paid in respect of these credits and subject to Section 158 (6) of the Education Act. The teacher will be required to sign a statement regarding intervening employment prior to the credit for sick leave being granted. Credits claimed by a teacher from a predecessor board or from the present board beyond an interval exceeding an absence of two (2) years must be substantiated by the teacher in a manner acceptable to the Board.
19.04 For purposes of sick leave, a teacher shall receive twenty (20) sick leave credits, less days lost during the year, for each year of service with this Board. These credits may be accumulated to a maximum of two hundred (200) days. A minimum of twelve (12) days of paid sick leave per year is provided for use only in the case of personal disability.
19.05 A teacher who has accumulated the maximum two hundred (200) days sick leave (19.04) may, subsequent to August 31, 1974, accumulate additional credits to a further maximum of one hundred (100) days for the purposes of retirement gratuity. These credits shall be segregated into an account for that purpose, and once segregated, cannot be used as regular sick leave credits.
19.06 In calculating the accumulative sick leave credit for a partial year of employment, full months of employment only will be used.
19.07 Accumulated sick leave credits shall be calculated annually as of August 31. In any school year, a teacher absent due to illness will be entitled to benefits for the current school year as follows:
(a) twenty (20) days sick leave for current school year.
(b) accumulated sick leave credits as of August 31, of the preceding school year.
19.08 If an...
Accumulated Sick Leave Credits. 8.05.01 Each eligible Teacher shall be entitled to have 100% of the unused portion of his/her annual sick leave of twenty (20) days transferred annually to his/her accumulated sick leave credits; the maximum accumulated credit to be 230 days.
8.05.02 The Board will recognize the cumulative sick leave credits that a Teacher has established with a former school board under the Education Xxx 0000 providing they do not exceed 230 days. This applies only when the transfer of employment from one local board to this Board is made without intervening employment that interrupts the continuity of employment under which sick leave credits are accumulated.
Accumulated Sick Leave Credits a) Full time Group Home Operators shall be granted 209 hours of sick leave annually on April 1. Sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 380 hours.
b) Full time SLP workers shall be granted 88 hours of sick leave annually on April 1. Sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 160 hours.
c) Full time Program Assistants shall be granted 55 hours of sick leave annually on April 1. Sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 100 hours.
d) Full time Group Living Operator shall be granted 190 hours of sick leave annually on April 1. Sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 230 hours.
e) Full time Group Home Manager and Group Home Worker shall be granted 96 hours of sick leave annually on April 1. Sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 230 hours.
f) Full time Administrative Support shall be granted 88 hours of sick leave annually on April 1. Sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 160 hours.
g) Full time Group Home Supervisor and Group Home operators formally employed by Victoria Care Homes will continue to accrual sick as per Letter of Understanding – Transfer Agreement, dated October 15, 2014.
h) Part time employees shall accumulate sick leave credits pro- rated on the number of hours worked relative to the number of working hours required in that month. Sick leave may accumulate to a prorated maximum.
Accumulated Sick Leave Credits. 14.3.1 Overtime shall not be used in accumulation of sick leave entitlements.
14.3.2 Except as otherwise noted, all full-time and part-time employees shall earn sick leave credits as follows: Number of hours worked multiplied by 5.7692307% = sick leave earned to a maximum of 150 hours annually.
14.3.3 Employees will draw on sick leave credits only to the extent earned.
14.3.4 Casual employees shall not be entitled to sick leave.
Accumulated Sick Leave Credits. Employees who have accumulated sick leave under the old sick leave plan will have their accumulated sick leave credits frozen subject to clause 10.2. Upon completion of 10 years service, an employee, upon termination or retirement, will be paid at their current basic pay rate for 35% of this unused accumulated sick leave. Upon retirement, employees will be given the option of equivalent time off in lieu of pay to be taken immediately prior to retirement.
Accumulated Sick Leave Credits are not cashable or transferable to other benefits at the end of employment with the Board.
Accumulated Sick Leave Credits. Permanent Employees shall be allowed one and one half (1 ½) day leave with pay for each completed month, upon commencement of their annual year (anniversary date). Upon resignation, such days taken in excess of one-half (.5) day per month will be deducted from the employee's salary accordingly. Sick leave credits shall accumulate from year to year to a maximum of 64 days.
Accumulated Sick Leave Credits. All accumulated sick leave credits will be frozen effective at rate in effect just prior to an employee being promoted to this unit and may be used by employees who have such benefits during the period of sickness from the first (1st) to the eighth (8th) day under the provisions of the sickness and accident insurance policy when such policy does not provide payment. (In addition, those employees may use accumulated sick leave credits for approved leaves of absence, with pay up to forty (40) hours per year for forty (40) hour employees or up to fifty-three (53) hours per year for fifty-three (53) hour employees.)
(a) Upon retirement (as specified under Public Act 345 of the Public Acts of 1935) or death of the employee, the employee or their estate shall receive an amount equal to the remaining unused sick leave paid at the probationary rate in effect on July 1, 1985.
(b) All members covered by this Agreement a normal work week consisting of forty forty-two (42) hours shall accumulate two (2) paid sick leave per month, not to exceed a 1,200 hours. who work

They may carry over annually up to 95 hours of unused sick leave per year. Sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 380 hours. They may carry over annually over 40 hours of sick leave per year. Sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 160 hours. Program Assistants shall be granted 55 hours of sick leave annually on their anniversary date. 22.3.1 Part time employees shall accumulate sick leave credits pro- rated on the number of hours worked relative to the number of working hours required in that month.
