Standard Work definition

Standard Work means a spectrum of activities including turf mowing and edging, maintenance of landscape and hardscape areas, maintenance of the irrigation system (minor repairs only), cleaning of facilities, weed control and trash pick-up.
Standard Work is defined as work done by union employees whereby they complete an entire operation within a team.
Standard Work refers to the means by which an organization defines and documents its best practices to maintain dependable pro- cesses (Browning & Sanders, 2012; Smith, 2003). Standard work spells out the currently accepted best means of accomplishing a given task to the individual performing the work. Without standard work, individuals lack any practical means of implementing standardized processes.

More Definitions of Standard Work

Standard Work means a documented standardized and discrete process specific to a single work unit.

Related to Standard Work

  • Standard Specifications means all applicable legal requirements pertaining to the development of the Property including, but not limited to, Master Subdivision Plan, applicable permits, and construction drawings required for all Infrastructure, including, without limitation, the Town's Unified Development Ordinance, Knightdale's Water Allocation Policy (Ordinance # 13-06- 19-001 and Ordinance # 00-00-00-000) and Standard Specifications and Construction Details Manual. The failure of this Agreement to describe any other permit, condition, or term of restriction applicable to the Property does not relieve Developer of the necessity of complying with the same.

  • piece-work means any system by which earnings are calculated upon the quantity or output of work performed;

  • tidal work means so much of any work authorised by this Order as is on, under or over tidal waters or tidal lands below the level of high water;
