Universal Worker definition
Universal Worker means a facility employee whose assignments include other tasks (for example, housekeeping, laundry, or food service) in addition to providing direct resident services. Universal worker does not include administrators, clerical or administrative staff, building maintenance staff, or licensed nurses who provide services as specified in OAR 411- 054-0034.
Universal Worker means a direct care nursing staff, who is qualified as outlined in § 1.14.6 of this Part, and through consistent assignment with residents may perform assistance with dietary, laundry, housekeeping activities, and other related services directly related to meeting the needs of that resident.
Universal Worker means a universal worker as defined in OAR 411- 054-0005.

The positions created in this manner shall be called Universal Worker, and also shall be known by their descriptive name followed by the service area identification corresponding to the position.
