University Seniority definition

University Seniority is defined as the total hours of continuous service with the University since the last date of hire. University Seniority shall be used to determine vacation and sick leave accrual rates and career bonus payments.
University Seniority. Means length of continuous service with the beginning with the latest date of hiring with the Employer including periods of authorized leave of absence and layoff and shall include periods of service outside the bargaining unit. This date shall be used for benefit purposes.
University Seniority means the number of continuous months of qualifying service with the University beginning with the latest date of hiring with the University and shall include periods of service outside the bargaining unit.

Examples of University Seniority in a sentence

  • Should more than one (1) employee in a work location request personal leave at the same time and staffing not allow approval of more than one (1) employee on leave, the employee with the most University Seniority shall get the leave.

  • If no such employee desires to work the extra hours, the least senior employee by University Seniority shall be assigned the work.

  • For work outside of the employee's assigned schedules, such as weekend work, qualified employees shall be offered the additional hours of work in descending order of University Seniority.

  • University Seniority: The day on which an employee last began employment as a regular employee at the University, even though in a probationary status.
