Unsatisfactory work performance definition

Unsatisfactory work performance means the failure by licensed school personnel to satisfactorily perform those tasks which are evaluated by the employee's supervisors, pursuant to the school district's approved plans) for evaluation and supervision of its licensed employees. Furthermore, for the purpose of this regulation unsatisfactory work performance does not include insubordination or conduct deemed to be outside the normal scope of duties of licensed school personnel.

To avoid any doubt, the performance standards and expectations need to be fair and reasonable. Employees cannot be accused of unsatisfactory work performance if the supervisor or manager failed to make the Employee fully aware of the standards or expectations of the role.
Unsatisfactory work performance means the failure to perform the requirements of a position at an acceptable standard or level of competence. Examples of unsatisfactory work performance conduct may include: unsafe work practices; excessive absenteeism or lateness; low productivity; inefficiency; negligence or unco-operative behaviour.
