Accumulation of Compensatory Time. The amount of compensatory time that a unit member may accumulate shall not exceed 240 (two hundred forty) hours.
Accumulation of Compensatory Time. Accumulated compensatory time exceeding eighty (80) hours may be paid at time and one half (1 ½) of the base wage rate; provided, however, that an employee, with the approval of the department head and City Manager, may in unusual circumstance accumulate compensatory time to a maximum higher than eighty (80) hours as specifically set forth in the approval.
Accumulation of Compensatory Time. The Employer will not restrict an accumulation of compensatory time subject to Section 20.2; the number of hours of compensatory time which a Lieutenant has on record shall not be the controlling factor in determining whether a Lieutenant will be allowed to take time due.

Once the unit member’s comp balance reaches 240, any additional time must be entered and paid as overtime.

(1) Covered employees may accumulate up to two hundred and forty (240) hours of compensatory time off (CTO) during a calendar year, provided however that on December 31st of each year, the County will compensate each member for their compensatory time by purchasing all accrued hours above 100 hours. In other words, the maximum accrual that any member may have at the beginning of each calendar year will be 100 hours. CTO may be utilized with the permission of the Department Head.
(2) At the time CTO is earned, the employee must elect whether the time will be used as CTO or whether it will be cashed out. Once the employee makes the election it cannot be changed.

Accumulation of Compensatory Time. An employee with 240 hours of compensatory time accumulated for hours worked after April 15, 1986, shall be paid for all additional overtime hours worked at the rate of one-and-one-half (1½) times their regular rate of pay until such time as the employee has less than 240 hours of accumulated compensatory time. Accumulated compensatory time shall be taken at the rate of 7.8 hours per day for all Blue Collar workers and 7 hours per day for all White Collar workers. Telecommunicators, and all other employees not on 7.8 or 7-hour work days, shall have accumulated compensatory time taken in increments equivalent to the hours of their regularly scheduled work day for each day taken.
Accumulation of Compensatory Time. Employees may accumulate up to two hundred (200) hours of CTO as of December 31st of each year, at which point they will be paid off for any hours in excess of 200 (i.e., Employees may accumulate more than 200 hours during the year).
