Common use of Accumulation of Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Accumulation of Sick Leave. 1. An Employee may accumulate the sick leave the Employee earns. The unused sick leave accumulated shall be credited to the Employee's account for subsequent use in the event of a sickness. Such unused sick leave may be accumulated without limitation. 2. Sick leave shall be administered on a calendar year basis and recorded at the end of each calendar year. After the end of each year, the appointing authority will furnish each Employee with a statement of the sick leave credit remaining as of December 31.
