Acting in Higher Position. 5.6.1 A permanent teacher who is required to carry out the full responsibilities of a higher position shall be paid a higher duties allowance. This allowance will be at the rate representing the difference between his/her salary and the rate which would be payable to the teacher if permanently appointed to that position. The allowance is only payable after the teacher has acted in the higher position for a period of five consecutive days and is subject to such conditions as agreed with the employer. These conditions must be met on each occasion that the higher duties are performed. Any leave taken during a period of acting in a higher position shall include the Higher Duties Allowance. On conclusion of the period of acting in a higher position the teacher shall be entitled to receive 16 percent of the value of the Higher Duties Allowance less the higher duties component of leave already taken.   • New Position An approved position not reflected in the current year budget complement.

  • Filling Positions ‌ The Employer will determine when a position will be filled, the type of appointment to be used when filling the position, and the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the specific position within a job classification. Only those candidates who have the position-specific skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the vacant position will be referred for further consideration by the employing agency.

  • Position Vacancies When a new position is created or a vacancy occurs in any existing position, the Employer shall forthwith prepare and furnish the Federation and post in places as agreed upon by the Employer and the Federation, a bulletin stating among other things: Location and title of position to be filled; a listing of the principal duties of the position; minimum qualifications; assigned hours of service; assigned days of rest; salary range of the position; whether the position is permanent or temporary; if temporary, how long it is probable the position will continue; the starting date of the assignment; last date when applications will be received and accepted; and with whom the applications shall be filed.

  • Position During the Term, the Employee shall serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company and in such other capacities as shall be designated by the Board of Directors of the Company (the “Board”) and agreed to by the Employee from time to time.

  • Float Positions The Employer may establish regular float positions which are consecutive hour shifts.

  • New Positions A. Each newly created position shall be assigned by the Employer to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position within thirty (30) days after its creation. Before such assignment of each new position the Employer shall consult with the Union for the purpose of assigning the new position to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position. The following criteria shall be used in making this determination:

  • Vacant Position An approved position which is reflected in the budget complement, which may have been vacated due to death, resignation, retirement, non-renewal, termination, or reassignment.

  • Assigned Personnel The Contractor warrants that the personnel it will assign to perform the Products and Services under this Agreement shall possess the requisite education, competence and experience. The Contractor further acknowledges and agrees that such personnel may be subject to the evaluation and approval of the Authority, who shall retain the right to determine the sufficiency of the education, competence and experience of the personnel assigned to perform the Products and Services identified in Exhibit A attached and incorporated into this Agreement.

  • Eligible Activities 7.1 Subject to the provisions of this Article, the PERFORMING PARTY agrees to complete all Grant Activities as described in the Scope of Work and in accordance with the Contract Documents.
