Active Employees Currently Not Participating in the Sick Leave Bank. Within 30 days after notification that the Sick Bank is open for enrollment (when the Sick Bank drops below 500 days). An Active Employee Currently Not Participating in the Sick Leave Bank will contribute, from their accumulated sick leave, one (1) day for each year in which the employee did not participate in the Sick Leave Bank, plus one (1) day for the year in which the employee joins. For active members of the Sick Leave Bank, a sick leave day will be deducted from the teacher's accumulated sick leave annually, until the Sick Leave Bank accumulation reaches five hundred (500) sick leave days, at which point only new staff members that have joined will contribute one day to the Sick Leave Bank. If the Sick Leave Bank falls below five hundred (500) days, it will be opened to the entire faculty for enrollment (non-participants have 30 days to join with the submission of the form shown in Appendix G). Also upon the Sick Leave Bank falling below five hundred (500) days, one sick leave day will be contributed by each participating employee. Note that it is possible that the Sick Leave Bank may go well over five hundred (500) days as a result of this process if, for example, it were only several days below the five hundred (500) day limit at the time it opened. In the event the Sick Leave Bank falls below five hundred (500) days twice during the same school year, the Sick Leave Bank will be opened for enrollment at the start of the next school year.

  • Active Employees Active Employees who have not terminated service during the Plan Year and who meet the following requirements (select all that apply; leave blank if no exclusions):

  • Day Employees If a day employee is scheduled to work more than nine and one-half (9 ½) continuous hours, the Company will provide a meal if requested. A second meal, if requested, will be provided if the employee works more than thirteen and one- half (13 ½) continuous hours. A lunch period of one-half (1/2) hour without pay will be allowed. Meals will be provided if an employee is called into work on such short notice that the employee is unable to provide their own meal. For the purpose of this Article, lunch periods shall not be considered to interrupt continuous hours.

  • Current Employees Employees who are eligible to participate but not deferring shall have Elective Deferrals withheld in the amount of ______ % of Compensation or $_________ of Compensation. Employees and Participants shall have the right to amend the stated automatic Elective Deferral percentage or receive cash in lieu of deferral into the Plan.

  • Overtime-Eligible Employees Unpaid Meal Periods The Employer and the Union agree to unpaid meal periods that vary from and supersede the unpaid meal period requirements required by WAC 000-000-000. Unpaid meal periods for employees working more than five (5) consecutive hours, if entitled, will be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes and will be scheduled as close to the middle of the work shift as possible, taking into account the Employer’s work requirements and the employee’s wishes. Employees working three (3) or more hours longer than a normal workday will be allowed an additional thirty (30) minute unpaid meal period. When an employee’s unpaid meal period is interrupted by work duties, the employee will be allowed to resume their unpaid meal period following the interruption, if possible, to complete the unpaid meal period. In the event an employee is unable to complete the unpaid meal period due to operational necessity, the employee will be entitled to compensation, which will be computed based on the actual number of minutes worked within the unpaid meal period. Meal periods may not be used for late arrival or early departure from work and meal and rest periods will not be combined.

  • LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS 11.08.01 Employees who have been elected or appointed to carry out business authorized by the Union on a full-time basis shall be granted a Leave of Absence for this purpose. The Union will advise the Company of the name(s) of such employee(s), the term of such leave, and the specific purpose. The Union shall repay the Company for the Company's costs incurred in Employee Benefit Plans and the employee(s) shall continue to pay their contributions directly to the Company. The Company shall provide such employees with free and reduced-rate transportation in accordance with Company regulations. Such employees shall continue to accrue seniority and service while on leave of absence.
