Activities of Cooperation. 1. Areas and forms of cooperation under this Chapter shall be set forth in the implementing arrangements consistent with the objectives set in Article 11.1.

Activities of Cooperation. In order to achieve the objective referred to this MoU, the Participants intend to conduct the following activities of cooperation:
Activities of Cooperation. The CCS will carry out the following activities: Inviting experts from NISD and CASS to deliver thematic lectures and courses at Queens College and other CUNY institutions; Organizing and carrying out joint research projects; Organizing academic seminars and conferences on topics related to China; Holding exhibitions on themes related to China and on research outcomes from studies on China; Donating books by CASS in the Chinese language as well as books on China studies in other languages; Supporting and promoting cooperation on publication of academic research outcome between the publishing houses affiliated to CASS and those based in CUNY; Carry out other activities of common interests based on mutual consent. Organization and Administration NISD and Queens College will jointly set up the CCS Council. The Council shall consist of representatives from CASS, Queens College, other institutions of the City University of New York, and other relevant academic and/or research institutions. The Council is responsible for deciding on the CCS development strategy and annual work plan, and for approving and overseeing its annual budget. The Director General of NISD/CASS and the Xxxxxxx of Queens College/CUNY shall be the Chinese President and U.S. President of the Council. The CCS Council should have a maximum of fourteen (14) members selected from NISD, CASS, Queens College, and other CUNY institutions. The members will be selected by mutual discussion between NISD and Queens College, with final consent coming from the two Council Presidents. The Council well select from its membership one Chinese Director and one U.S. Director. The Directors are directly responsible for implementing the development strategy and work plan approved by the Council and for conducting the daily operations of the CCS. Based on the needs of its development and operation, the CCS will establish other relevant units and positions. Financial Arrangements Queens College will provide premises as well as necessary equipment and facilities for CCS and the Chinese Academy of Social Science will provide financial support for CCS's operation and activities, as stated in Paragraph 4 of this Agreement. By mutual consent, NISD, Queens College, and the CCS shall also seek additional financial support for the CCS through other ways.
