ADULT EDUCATORS i. The Board may continue to provide educational programs which are delivered solely or jointly in partnership with non-governmental organizations where the specialized nature of the required program is such that it cannot reasonably be accommodated within an existing school or district program. Note: Without limiting the application of this clause, examples of such partnerships are the current arrangement with CDIS (see winter 2002 brochure) and the Burnaby Skill Centre. In past such partnerships have existed with “Yes Canada”.

ADULT EDUCATORS. A. Adult Educators, for the purpose of health benefits and leave rights, shall be defined as full- time (working 30 or more hours per week for 30 or more weeks per contract year) and part-time (working 20 or more hours per week, but less than 30 hours per week, for 30 or more weeks per contract year).

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • Paraeducators A Paraeducator who has successfully completed a probationary period of ninety (90) calendar days. The term Paraeducators shall include all Paraeducators as defined in Appendix B. Paraeducators will work a 186-day contract, 7½ hours per day and receive four (4) paid holidays unless otherwise specified.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Resident Educator A Resident Educator is a teacher employed under a resident educator license.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training The state and the PBA recognize the importance of supervisor training programs to develop management skills in our law enforcement supervisors. The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.

  • Students Payments which a student or business apprentice who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.

  • *Experienced Educator An educator with Professional Teacher Status (PTS).

  • Public Education 7.1.01 Inform and educate the public about vaccines and vaccine- preventable diseases

  • Purpose of Educator Evaluation A) This contract language is locally negotiated and based on M.G.L., c.71, § 38; M.G.L. c.150E; the Educator Evaluation regulations, 603 CMR 35.00 et seq.; and the Model System for Educator Evaluation developed and which may be updated from time to time by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. See 603 CMR 35.02 (definition of model system). In the event of a conflict between this collective bargaining agreement and the governing laws and regulations, the laws and regulations will prevail.
