ADVOCATE. For purposes of representation and mutual administration of the contract, the Union will designate advocates from among its members employed by the Employers. The advocate position is the worker representative position responsible for handling grievances and disciplinary issues with the Employers. The Union will notify each Employer when an advocate has been designated.
ADVOCATE. The person and/or firm to be appointed by the developer for looking after the legal aspect of the project.
ADVOCATE. This element provides a number of facets, which may include advocacy to ensure appropriate service provision to a client, advocacy on behalf of a client with other agencies or within the psychiatric services continuum. The nursing practitioner is well placed to be an advocate on behalf of the client as a result of the detailed knowledge acquired of the client's physical, mental or social state, and his/her environment.

ADVOCATE. A Tier 2 Advocate has a Sales Volume of less than 6 Submissions and $10,000 in medical services in a monthly calendar time period. Tier 1 Advocates are allowed to complete marketing and Intake Interviews with the assistance of a Tier 1 Advocate present at intake interview. Tier 2 Advocates split the fees with the Tier 1 Advocate.
ADVOCATE. An independent person who helps and supports a person who has difficulties with understanding issues. The advocate may put forward the person’s views, feelings and opinions in meetings and reports. Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) A social worker or other professional approved by a local social services authority, to carry out a number of functions under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983.
ADVOCATE. Any employee that follows board policy to address complaints or concerns is permitted an individual representative to attend conferences to act as an advocate.
