ALCOHOL AND ILLEGAL DRUGS a) Vesuvius has a legal obligation to provide a safe and healthy working environment for its workers and others in the workplace, so far as is reasonably practicable. To ensure a safe environment, no machinery is to be operated or used by anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or used or consumed illegal drugs. b) Workers must comply with alcohol concentration limits applicable to particular duties they perform or may be called on to perform. c) Xxxxxxxx will not accept liability for any damage to a Vesuvius vehicle, an injury to another person, or damage to other property caused by a worker’s use of a Vesuvius vehicle while intoxicated from alcohol or illegal drugs. The worker will be personally liable in such circumstances.
ALCOHOL AND ILLEGAL DRUGS. Consistent with our commitment to provide a clean, safe and healthy work environment, we expect employees to work free of the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs. Substance abuse poses serious health and safety risks not only to the abuser, but to all those who work with him or her. Substance abuse also affects job performance. We prohibit the possession, distribution and use of alcohol and illegal drugs on or at Company facilities and we reserve the right to test employees for such substances to the maximum extent permitted by law as set forth in the Employee Handbook. The health and safety of our employees is our first concern and we are committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions. To this end, we promote a comprehensive safety program on behalf of our employees. You share in the responsibility to follow all safety rules and identify potential hazards (or “near misses”). There is no permissible justification for working around or ignoring safety rules. You should promptly report any unsafe condition so that it may be corrected as soon as possible.
ALCOHOL AND ILLEGAL DRUGS. Contractor shall ensure its Personnel do not store, possess, use, manufacture, sell, or distribute illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or any controlled substances (including prescription medications possessed or used by persons other than those for whom prescribed or for purposes other than those for which the medication was prescribed) on the University’s campuses.

ALCOHOL AND ILLEGAL DRUGS. The use of alcohol and/or illegal drugs on University premises is strictly forbidden. You should not bring these substances into the buildings or be affected by them whilst on site. Anyone found to be either in possession of drugs or alcohol whilst in the building, or under their influence whilst volunteering will be immediately suspended, pending investigation, or excluded permanently from the station. The University security team also reserve the right to call the police should they believe an offence of this nature has occurred. You should not allow guests into the building, or on-air from any location, if you feel that they may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace City reserves the right to deny access to, or require Contractor to remove from, City facilities personnel of any Contractor or subcontractor who City has reasonable grounds to believe has engaged in alcohol abuse or illegal drug activity which in any way impairs City's ability to maintain safe work facilities or to protect the health and well-being of City employees and the general public. City shall have the right of final approval for the entry or re-entry of any such person previously denied access to, or removed from, City facilities. Illegal drug activity means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, purchasing, using or being under the influence of illegal drugs or other controlled substances for which the individual lacks a valid prescription. Alcohol abuse means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, or using alcoholic beverages, or being under the influence of alcohol.

  • Illegal Aliens If Contractor has any employees or subcontractors, the Contractor shall comply with §§ 8-17.5-101, et seq., C.R.S., regarding Illegal Aliens - Public Contracts for Services, and this Contract. By execution of this Contract, the Contractor certifies that it does not knowingly employ or contract with an illegal alien who will perform work under this Contract and that the Contractor will participate in either the E-Verify Program or Department Program in order to confirm the eligibility of all employees who are newly hired for employment to perform work under this Contract. a. Contractor shall not: i. Knowingly employ or contract with an illegal alien to perform work under this Contract; or ii. Enter into a contract with a subcontractor that fails to certify to the Contractor that the subcontractor shall not knowingly employ or contract with an illegal alien to perform work under this Contract. b. The Contractor has confirmed the employment eligibility of all employees who are newly hired for employment to perform Work under this Contract through participation in either the E-Verify Program or Department Program. c. The Contractor shall not use either the E-Verify Program or Department Program to undertake pre-employment screening of job applicants while this Contract is in effect. d. If the Contractor obtains actual knowledge that a subcontractor performing work under this Contract knowingly employs or contracts with an illegal alien, the Contractor shall: i. Notify the subcontractor and the County within three (3) days that the Contractor has actual knowledge that the subcontractor is employing or contracting with an illegal alien; and ii. Terminate the subcontract with the subcontractor if within three (3) days of receiving the notice required pursuant to the preceding subparagraph d.i., the subcontractor does not stop employing or contracting with the illegal alien; except that the Contractor shall not terminate the contract with the subcontractor if during such three (3) days the subcontractor provides information to establish that the subcontractor has not knowingly employed or contracted with an illegal alien. e. The Contractor shall comply with any reasonable request by the Department of Labor and Employment made in the course of an investigation that the Department is undertaking pursuant to the authority established in § 8-17.5- 102(5), C.R.S. f. The Contractor violates this provision of this Contract, the County may terminate the Contract for a breach of contract. If the Contract is so terminated, the Contractor shall be liable for actual and consequential damages to the County as required by law. g. The County will notify the Office of the Secretary of State if the Contractor violates this provision of this Contract and the County terminates the Contract for such breach.

  • Alcohol on the day of testing all workers onsite shall be required to submit a breath sample i.e. blanket testing.
