ANNUAL CONTRACT STATUS. Any employee hired after July 1, 2011, and after successfully completing a probationary contract, shall have annual contract status in accordance with Florida Statute and, as such, shall have no expectation of guaranteed employment beyond the term of the contract year in which s/he is hired. Such an employee may be non-renewed without just cause. An annual contract means an employment contract for a period of no longer than one (1) school year which the District may choose to award or not award or not award without cause. Any instructional personnel with an annual contract may be suspended or dismissed at any time during the term of the contract for just cause per Florida Statute.
