Instructional Personnel. All personnel assigned to the SCHOOL will be BOARD employees with their salaries and benefits paid from DISTRICT funding. BOARD will budget and pay for staffing at SCHOOL as mutually agreed upon by TRI and BOARD. Incentive pay will be provided as is mutually agreed upon with both Parties to encourage teachers to work and remain in the SCHOOL for the duration of the Contract. BOARD will ensure that staffing of the SCHOOL is consistent with staffing ratios established for the DISTRICT with any variation of pay or incentive pay subject to reasonable budgetary constraints.
Instructional Personnel. Single policyholders will be allowed the amounts (on chart below) per month per choice of their deductible. Married couples that are both employed by the district will have their entire family policy premiums paid up to twice the agreed upon amount. The Board will discuss rate increases with the Association in July if there is an increase in the rates and a request is made. Instructional Personnel. “Instructional personnel” means any K-12 staff member whose function includes the provision of direct instructional services to students. Instructional personnel also includes K-12 personnel whose functions provide direct support in the learning process of students. Included in the classification of instructional personnel are the following K-12 personnel:
Instructional Personnel. The Board of Juvenile Affairs (XXX) agrees that all individuals employed to teach students enrolled in the Charter School shall possess a teaching certificate issued by the OSDE that is valid for the entire period of the contract for employment or be otherwise qualified as determined by the Executive Director of XXX. Provisions of this paragraph shall not apply to special education teachers, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 8.6 of this Contract.
Instructional Personnel. A. All instructional personnel (i.e., licensed school instructors, education paraprofessionals and librarians/library paraprofessionals) shall be provided duty free lunch period of not less than thirty (30) minutes unless provided for herein. The lunch period may be lengthened at the discretion of the school unit or work site. Noon duty assignments may be given to teachers and librarians only with the employee’s permission and shall be compensated by the amount set annually by the Board of Education and the Association.
B. Education paraprofessionals and other non-teaching staff may be assigned to noon duty. Noon duty will be considered to be part of the regular work assignment and will not reduce the agreed-upon lunch period and will not cause the employee to work beyond the normal workday or workweek. If an employee agrees to a daily noon duty assignment and the extension of the work day by a total of thirty (30) minutes before and/or after the contract hours, such employee will be paid for one noon duty session. A written agreement, between principal and employee, which includes the revised work hours, shall be sent to Payroll. The pay for this additional duty will be paid as Supplemental Pay with a timesheet submission. Employees may not cover more than one noon duty session in a day, unless there is an emergency.
C. In order to assure the safety and supervisory needs of students and a school are met, at the request of a principal, the ability to provide supervision will be reviewed by the Superintendent or designee and if determined necessary, an allocation for noon duty pay made. In such cases, employees, for whom the lunch period is reduced, will be paid in accordance with the district rate of pay for noon duty. If such duty assignment reduces for any such employee the lunch period time allocation applying to all instructional personnel in that school, the employee shall be compensated at the district rate of pay for noon duty.
D. Nothing in this Article shall be construed to diminish the responsibility of Licensed school instructors, education paraprofessionals and librarians/library paraprofessionals or any staff to take needed action at any time to ensure an orderly atmosphere and to enforce school rules nor shall it be construed to reduce a building administrator’s authority to assign such personnel to a temporary or rotating duty assignment at any time due to extenuating circumstances or during an emergency. Instructional Personnel. All teachers will be expected to attend professional development prior to the start of each school year, as well as professional development throughout the school year.
Instructional Personnel. Annual contracts will be offered for full-time instructional personnel.
Instructional Personnel a. LTUSD will provide instructors who meet LTCC minimum qualifications. All assigned instructors must be hired as LTCC part-time faculty in the discipline in which instruction is provided prior to the first day of instruction.
b. Proposed instructors will complete the necessary LTCC employment paperwork to allow hiring and documentation of the contractual arrangement for provision of instruction.
c. LTUSD will pay all salary and other employment costs such as workers’ compensation and other applicable benefits for instructors directly to and on behalf of the persons employed for such purposes in an amount sufficient to meet the requirements of Education Code Section 78022. LTUSD will also indemnify and hold LTCC harmless against any and all claims which are made for salary or employment/benefits of such instructors for the period covered by the terms of this agreement.
d. High school teachers who are assigned to dual enrollment courses may not exceed the equivalent of 67% of a full-time teaching load including any combination of dual enrollment and other LTCC courses.
e. Instructors will provide both instruction and related services which include, but are not limited to, functions such as completing drop rosters, issuing college grades, and assessing student learning outcomes.
f. Dual enrollment instructors will take attendance and may be required to report attendance using both high school and college procedures. A copy of attendance records for dual enrollment students will be provided to LTCC at the end of each course.
