Application of Program. The Employee Assistance Program applies to all employees. The EAP is available to employees and their families on a self-referral basis. Employees or family members who have need for such a program are encouraged to use this service. Participation in the program will not jeopardize an employee's job security, promotional opportunities, or reputation. All records and discussions of participants are strictly confidential. Records of participants shall be kept by the counseling agency and are not to be made a part of the employee’s personnel file. The Authority will not be informed of matters discussed unless the employee requests so in writing. Xxxx leave will be granted for treatment/rehabilitation on the same basis as is granted for ill health. Consideration will be given for the use of leave- without-pay upon written request by the employee. This policy does not alter or replace other policies or terms of the current Labor Agreement.
