THE EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free service for all employees, and their immediate families. Its purpose is to help you and your family enrich the quality of your lives. The program provides a counsellor with whom you can talk confidentially and in complete privacy. Together you can discuss various plans and approaches. The decision about which steps to take is entirely up to you. It means that only you as a potential client of the EAP counselling service can initiate a counselling session. Only you can make a counselling appointment for yourself. The counsellor will not accept appointments for counselling made by a second party. The EAP counselling service is a resource for you and your family.

THE EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. The parties recognize that alcoholism and drug abuse are illnesses which are treatable. The earlier that a unit employee's alcoholism or drug abuse problems can be identified and treated, the greater the potential is for cure. To this end, the Employer shall take steps to ensure that unit employees may participate in Employee Assistance Programs which are operated in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines. The Association agrees to support this program and to encourage unit employees to seek early assistance, as necessary, in cases of alcoholism and drug abuse. The Employer shall notify unit employees of the existence of the Employee Assistance Program annually. The Employer shall take reasonable steps to ensure that the unit employee's right to privacy is recognized. If the Employer or the affected unit employee feels that said unit employee should be referred for counseling, it shall be arranged as expeditiously as possible.
THE EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM a. FAURECIA recognizes that an employee’s job performance may be adversely affected due to a variety of reasons, including personal problems, emotional illness, substance abuse, etc. It further recognizes that many problems may be treatable, and will support employees who actively seek help for their problems. Employee support is provided within the organization through the Employee Assistance Program. b. Employees who voluntarily request assistance in dealing with a substance abuse problem may participate in the Employee Assistance Program. Requesting such assistance will not jeopardize continued employment. However, volunteering to participate in the Employee Assistance Program will not prevent counseling or termination for violation of this policy or any other Company policy.

Use of the EAP will not be a basis for disciplinary action and it will not be used against an employee in any disciplinary proceeding. Conversely, using the EAP will not alter the employee’s obligations concerning his/her job performance nor exempt the employee from the imposition of disciplinary action when a violation of this policy occurs. Accordingly, the purpose and practices of this policy and the EAP are distinctly separate in their applications.

Purpose The Employee Counseling Services Program (ECSP) is established to provide counseling, assistance, treatment, and rehabilitative services to employees who are experiencing problems that contribute to unsatisfactory performance or conduct.   • Employee Assistance Program Neither the fact of an employee's participation in an employee assistance program, nor information generated by participation in the program, shall be used as a reason for discipline under this Article, except for information relating to an employee's failure to participate in an employee assistance program consistent with the terms to which the employee and the University have agreed.

  • Employee and Family Assistance Program (a) A province-wide Employee and Family Assistance Program for employees and members of their immediate family, with whom the employee normally resides, shall be provided. (b) This Employer-funded, confidential, assessment/referral service will be monitored by a Joint Committee. The Committee shall consist of two members: one member appointed by the Employer and one member by the Union. Employees representing the Union on this Joint Committee shall be on leave of absence without loss of basic pay for time on this Committee.
