Arbitrator Panel. Arbitrators shall be chosen by the parties from a list maintained by the Public Employees Labor Relations Board (PELRB). If the parties are unable to agree on an arbitrator, the PELRB shall be asked to appoint an arbitrator.
Arbitrator Panel. 1. The parties agree that there will be a standing panel of thirteen (13) arbitrators to hear arbitration cases scheduled for hearing pursuant to the provision of this Article. If agreement cannot be reached on all thirteen (13) arbitrators, the remaining number needed to complete the panel will be selected alternately by the parties.
2. The procedure for modifying the panel shall be as follows:
a. Each party shall have the right to eliminate up to two (2) arbitrators from the panel once each calendar year. The party exercising this right shall notify the other party in writing of the name(s) of the arbitrator(s) to be stricken from the panel.
b. In replacing an arbitrator who has been eliminated, declined to participate or who has resigned, or in adding an arbitrator(s) to complete the panel, the parties will exchange nominations within sixty (60) calendar days. The party selecting first shall be determined by the flip of a coin. Any arbitrator eliminated in Section M.2.a above may not be placed on the panel again.
c. The parties shall jointly send letters to arbitrators chosen for placement on the standing panel and shall request that they agree to participate and comply with the provisions of this Agreement.
Arbitrator Panel. Within forty-five (45) days after the execution of this Agreement the Parties shall establish a procedure for the selection of arbitrators.
Arbitrator Panel. By September 1, 2018, the City and the Association shall select a standing panel of arbitrators to hear grievances. The parties shall establish the panel in the following fashion: by not later than July 20, 2018, each party shall submit to the other, the names of seven (7) arbitrators and prepare a list with all arbitrators submitted by the parties. The parties shall then, beginning by lot, alternately strike names from the list until seven (7) names remain. The seven (7) remaining persons shall constitute the standing arbitration panel for the term of the Agreement.
Arbitrator Panel. The parties agree that there will be a standing panel of seventeen (17) arbitrators to hear arbitration cases scheduled for hearing pursuant to the provision of this article. The panel is listed in Appendix H.
Arbitrator Panel. Both parties shall mutually agree on panel members to fill a three-member arbitration panel when arbitration is needed to resolve a grievance or decide on a contract dispute for the life of the Agreement. If the parties are unable to agree upon any of the three members, then a list of seven (7) arbitrators shall be mutually requested from the American Arbitration Association or SERB and the parties shall use the alternate strike method to select an arbitrator to fill the vacant position on the panel. Either party may choose to terminate an arbitrator from the panel with reasonable notice to the other party. In the event that either of the parties exercises the right to terminate an arbitrator on the panel, a replacement shall be selected pursuant to the procedure in the previous paragraph.
Arbitrator Panel. The parties agree that there will be a Northern standing panel of thirteen (13) arbitrators and Southern standing panel of thirteen (13) arbitrators to hear arbitration cases scheduled for hearing pursuant to the provision of this article. Such panels are listed in Appendix F.
