Attendance on subcontractors. In terms of the Construction Regulations, the Contractor only appoints a subcontractor when the Contractor is satisfied that such a subcontractor has the necessary competencies and resources to perform the work falling within the scope of the subcontract safely. The Contractor is required to: • Stop any subcontractor from executing construction work which is not in accordance with the Contractor’s or subcontractor’s health and safety plan for the Site or which poses a threat to the health and safety of persons; • Ensure that every subcontractor: o is registered and in good standing with the compensation fund or with a licensed compensation insurer prior to work commencing on the Site; and o have made provision for the cost of health and safety measures during the construction process.

  • Contractors All LAUSD Contractors and their Representatives are expected to conduct any and all business affiliated with LAUSD in an ethical and responsible manner that fosters integrity and public confidence. A “Contractor” is any individual, organization, corporation, sole proprietorship, partnership, nonprofit, joint venture, association, or any combination thereof that is pursuing or conducting business with and/or on behalf of LAUSD, including, without limitation, consultants, suppliers, manufacturers, and any other vendors, bidders or proposers. A Contractor’s “Representative” is also broadly defined to include any subcontractors, employees, agents, or anyone else who acts on a Contractor’s behalf.

  • Use of Subcontractors Nothing in this Appendix 2 shall prevent the Interconnection Parties from utilizing the services of subcontractors as they deem appropriate to perform their respective obligations hereunder, provided, however, that each Interconnection Party shall require its subcontractors to comply with all applicable terms and conditions of this Appendix 2 in providing such services.
