BASIC SCHOOL YEAR. The employment calendar shall be established by the Board after discussion with the Association. The parties agree that the employment calendar shall be determined by the annual requirements of the State and in accordance with Michigan Special Education rules and waivers, including professional development days required by the Board. For the school year 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 The basic school year will be 185 staff days consisting of 180 qualified student contact days. The Basic school year shall be from late August till June.

BASIC SCHOOL YEAR. The school year work schedule shall consist of all days required for student attendance by the Illinois School Code as well as two teacher institute days at the beginning of the year, three teacher institute days during the school year (two of which count toward student attendance days) and a teacher institute at the end of the year for preparation of report cards. A committee of teachers and administrators shall be appointed by the Superintendent and the President of the BEA who shall determine the agenda for the staff development day as well as the school improvement days during the year.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • ALTERNATE SCHOOL CALENDAR 1. In this article, an alternative school calendar is a school calendar that differs from the standard school calendar as specified in Schedule 1 (Supplement) of the School Calendar Regulation 114/02.

  • Length of School Year 4.6.1 Except where reduced by any lawful decision of the employer to close the school to students, the length of the school year for each school shall be determined according to the requirement that schools are required to be open for at least 380 half days in any one calendar year.
