Common use of Basic Sick Leave Allowance Clause in Contracts

Basic Sick Leave Allowance. A leave allowance advance of ten (10) days with pay shall be granted for each full school year provided an employee has served a minimum of twenty (20) working days each year. Leave not used during any school year may accumulate without limit. Individuals who are employed after the commencement of the school year shall receive basic leave on a pro-rata basis. Individuals leaving employment prior to end of the school year shall have their basic allowance pro-rated accordingly, and used but not earned sick leave shall be deducted from the employee's final check.
