Common use of Basis of Seniority Clause in Contracts

Basis of Seniority. Seniority for all employees shall be by classification and defined as the employee’s total compensated hours, excluding overtime, with the Employer after the most recent date of employment. There shall be one seniority list for both full-time and part-time employees. If an employee works in more than one classification, all hours worked will be credited on the seniority list of his/her primary classification.
