The Employer recognizes the right of the Union to elect or select from employees who are members of the Union, a job xxxxxxx or job committee to handle such Union business (for example, to distribute and share information to new members) during their routine at the Hospital where they are employed, as may from time-to-time be delegated to them by the Union in connection with this collective bargaining relationship. The name of such job xxxxxxx or job committee shall be furnished, in writing, to the Employer, and any changes in xxxxxxx or committee members shall be reported to the Employer in writing.

It is the philosophy of Labor and Management that a cooperative relationship is in the best interest of the parties. To this end, Stewards shall be allowed a combined total of eight (8) hours per month on the clock to investigate issues that could lead to or are grievances in an effort to resolve problems expediently and in providing union representation for employees under the Xxxxxxxxxx rights. The Employer shall make time available during the orientation process for a xxxxxxx to provide information to new employees. The Employer and the Union agree to cooperate when scheduling this activity.
