Common use of Benefits on Layoff Clause in Contracts

Benefits on Layoff. For regular full and part-time employees who have benefit coverage, as per Clause 23.1, and who are laid off, the Employer agrees to continue to pay premiums for benefits for which they are eligible on the following basis: (a) less than one year of service to date of layoff, minimum two weeks; (b) one to five years' service one month; (c) five to ten years' service two months; (d) ten years' service and over three months.
