Birth and Adoption Reasons Sample Clauses

Birth and Adoption Reasons a. The granting of leave for maternity reasons will be governed by the same policies, regulations and procedures as are applicable to the leave requested, i.e., sick leave (including advanced sick leave), annual leave, and leave without pay. Sick leave may be used only to cover the time required for physical examination, and the period of incapacitation. After delivery and recuperation should the employee desire a period of adjustment or time to make arrangement for the care of the child, these additional leave requirements, if approved, must be taken care of by the use of available annual leave, compensatory time or leave without pay.
