Block Pay and Overtime. Employees covered by this Agreement and classified as a Battalion Chief or Captain (48-hour or 40-hour) may be required to work additional hours beyond their work period as deemed necessary by management. Employees who are required to work additional hours shall be compensated in Block Pay amounts and in accordance with the following: Additional Hours Worked Compensation 15 Minutes – 59 Minutes $ 40.00 1 – 5:59 hours $ 210.00 6 – 11:59 hours $ 500.00 12 – 17:59 hours $ 675.00 18 – 24 hours $ 1000.00 It is agreed that the Union will continue responsibility for the distribution and assignment of overtime in accordance with qualifications required by the District. A Union official will be provided access to a telephone to obtain the needed overtime commitment. The District reserves the right to offer overtime schedules in increments of less than twenty-four (24) hours. Such administration will include the District’s ability to require and enforce overtime schedules in the following manner: Using the current overtime system, should a refusal of overtime be made by the employee who appears first in the roster, and upon contact by the District, no other employee in progression accepts said overtime, the employee initially contacted will be required to work the overtime.

  • Banked Overtime In the event the day in lieu of working the statutory holiday is not provided as stipulated in 8.01.04, this portion may also be banked.

  • HOURS AND OVERTIME 3:1 A workweek is defined as seven (7) consecutive calendar days, from Saturday midnight to Saturday midnight. The basic workweek shall consist of five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours each and shall begin Monday and run through Friday, except when a job other than for a public utility is to be done on Saturday, then the Company may assign another day as a non-workday and Saturdays becomes a workday in the basic workweek. An extended workweek shall begin at starting time Monday and continue until the next Monday starting time. The regular hours of work for all employees shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with an unpaid meal period of thirty (30) minutes which normally will be from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. provided, however, that the regular lunch period may be advance or delayed an hour or less when work must necessarily be performed during the regular lunch period. Such a change in the lunch period shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime. The regular hours of work may be changed by the Company at the request or direction of the public utility or governmental authorities, and by mutual agreement between the Company and the Union. The Company may change the start times by 30 minutes in either direction of the regular start time to meet the operational need without union approval. Such a change in the regular hours of work shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime.

  • No Layoff to Compensate for Overtime Employees shall not be required to layoff during regular hours to equalize any overtime worked.

  • Scheduled Overtime Scheduled overtime is overtime which is assigned by the end of the employee's last worked shift prior to the overtime assignment and which does not immediately precede or immediately follow a scheduled work shift. Unless notified otherwise in advance of the scheduled starting time of the scheduled overtime assignment, any employee who is scheduled to report for work and who reports as scheduled shall be assigned at least two (2) hours work. If work is not available, the employee may be excused from duty and paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate. If the employee begins work but is excused from duty before completing two (2) hours of work, the employee shall be paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate.

  • Employee Facilities Employee Facilities. Restrooms and attendant facilities shall be provided as required in the orders and regulations of the State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries. A good faith effort will be made by the Employer to provide facilities for employees’ personal belongings.

  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within ninety (90) calendar days of the work week in which the overtime was earned or, with the employee’s agreement, within 12 months of that work week.

  • Employee Parking Fees Authority reserves the right to charge Company or its employees a reasonable and non-discriminatory parking fee based on Authority's cost of providing services and facilities for the employee parking areas provided at the Airport. If Company is invoiced by Authority for parking fees, payment is due to Authority within 15 days from the date of the invoice, or parking privileges may be terminated.
