Common use of Call Time Clause in Contracts

Call Time. Employees who have been called into work outside of their regular shift schedule shall be paid at the appropriate rate for the hours worked or a minimum of three (3) hours' pay at the employee's regular straight-time hourly rate, whichever is greater. Call time pay begins when employees report to their assigned work site ready for work. Employees will be permitted to leave the work site when the work assignment that is the reason for the call time is completed unless the employee's scheduled work shift has commenced. There shall be no duplication of hours or pay.
